A Wild Retainer Appears!

It couldn't have been Godbert, because right before he left he said something along the lines of "Hopefully Master will like what i got!" Or something like that, it included talking about his master, so i seriously doubt it was Godbert.

The one I saw in Coerthas wasn't Godbert. Unless Godbert got a lot younger and started carrying an axe.

Love it! I've seen a botanist retainer outside of Fallgourd Float say something thing "there you are finally!" & then warp away.

I keep expecting one of my retainers to come back one day all disheveled & say "omg, you have no idea".

I've seen retainers (not my own) at Oschon's Torch fishing and near Dragonhead fighting. Never saw my Miner or Arcanist on their ventures.

Said retainers will get a swift dragon kick to their face if I see them above my house stealing my roof.

Saw a blond, female Hyur botanist retainer just outside of Bentbranch harvesting. She was saying a few things like "not another low quality," "I'm having no luck today," "Just one more." After about 10 minutes she said "That should do it," and teleported away. Was quite amusing (and a good distraction from my FATE grind).

But are they really retainers or just "random" npcs? I'd kill to see my ratainers out there gathering and kill stuff for me :(

I am betting it's player retainers with the game randomizing who they use for others to see in the field.

I hope so, it always made me a little sad that nobody can see what my retainers look like since the rental stalls in the market wards from 1.0 no longer exist.
