[suggestions] About new MAPS in 3.0 and beyond

EXACTLY! it is a plain... it doesn't have that much topology because its all grass lol... And you must also realize that looking at the map from the top down does not do it justice.

they could do so much more now-a-days with way less.

He means that it's empty because they couldn't fill it with the PS limitations.

Or they should at least allow players to add markers, distance indicator would be sweet as well but doubtful

Markers on the map? You can do that but it's a weird key combo. Alt-Click I think?

My point still stands, the area have little next to no topology, consider how grass/plants/rock formations, EVERYTHING is done in FFXIV:ARR.

I'd like larger maps, but I'm content with what we currently have.

What I would INSIST on if I could ever meet with the dev team is the removal of the dumbass invisible barriers.

I see that place! I want to go there! I know there's no quest up there, but I don't care. I want to go there anyway!

They gave PS4 upgrade from PS3 for free. I have also heard that they are planning to make better water effects and add new HQ textures. It kinda feels that one day they will stop caring about PS3 players and I hope for that.

I know it was suppose to be integrated but i do not see how, maybe PC only? I am on PS4

I agree 100% with OP.

They could also throw in some huge expansive areas like grasslands and deserts that don't need a load of environmental features. If they can do it with Altepa Desert in XI then I'm sure it's possible here.

I hate wide open areas, because they are almost always pointless. They are just terrain with some mobs and there's usually no creativity involved in the environment. One of my favorite spots in the game is the western side of Eastern La Noscea. Smaller, cramped areas like that make for a way better MMO because you're actually going to run into people there, sometimes people you've been acquainted with before. Don't really get the appeal of wide open areas.
