My guild was stolen!!!!

Firstly, congratulations on getting your life to the point again of being able to partake in online games.
Although I'm sorry for your loss, I feel that the system is working as intended and was for the betterment of your FC that leadership passed.
There seems to be a bit too much drama though. I'm sure you may feel that you lost 8 months of your life, but you were only gone from the game for about 3 months. Seeing that you earned achievements on 4/28/14 and nothing until 8/2/14

There's also a highly likely chance that the regular members of the FC left on their own before leadership was passed, if it seemed to them that the FC's ability to grow wasn't there anymore without a leader. I strongly recommend trying to find your old FC members and talking to them about your circumstances, and if possible starting something else up. But be prepared for them to be skeptical of following your leadership, as you've already taken 2 absences from the game and lost 2 FCs over it.
It might not be the advice you want, but your situation might be best suited to just being a normal member in someone else's FC

Aren't they required to hold to an agreement like that when it involves in-game assets? I mean, if I tell a player "get me 1x raziqsand and 2x emery and I'll make you an i90 accessory" and I then take his items, make the item successfully, and then refuse to give him the item I agreed to give him, isn't that against ToS? Isn't that actionable?

Only if you have the chat logs to prove it.
If screenshots don't exist for this, no reasonable person could fault a GM for refusing to backtrack X number of months looking for this information

Oh, I'd absolutely think you'd need -proof- beyond word of mouth, what I meant was whether he could do something if he did have proof of such an agreement.

Well, here's how I feel about it. It may have been something that he created, but the rest of the group kept it going while he was gone. He disappeared without a word, and I totally get that this economy is tough and people have had to make hard choices... But the rest of the world can't just stop turning because he ran into a bad patch. He was gone, and someone else stepped up to the plate and kept the group going. The rest of the group must be happy with the leadership change, else I imagine they would have rallied behind the original leader and contacted GMs en masse to request he be reinstated.

So, yes it sucks, but I don't think that the group should have to revert back in time because the old leader - who for all intents and purposes abandoned the group - strolls back in and wants to take back over.

This was overall a really good change. Back in XI we had literally NO power over our guilds if the leader disappeared. We didn't have a choice but to /breaklinkshell and start over again. At least SE has put something in place so the group can keep on keepin' on.

OP: I'm sorry you lost your guild, but maybe instead of demanding your guild back you should join them for a while and show them you are back for the long haul. I don't blame them for not immediately handing control back over to you, terrible as your story is. They don't know that this time you are back for good, and no one *stole* anyt

you will just have to make a new fc. if you were on levi i could easily give you 300k to make the blow less painful.

from now on if you ever have to quit for over 35 days and won't accept losing leadership you will have to kick every other member from your fc before doing so.

You act like the FC is just about you. It belongs to the other players just as much as you. FCs can't just be left leader-less and 275k is very very easy to make up. This seems very over-dramatic. It takes very little to get back what was lost.

While I feel bad for you, You have to understand, that this function
is about helping the other FC members. They need to come first, and
if they have a leader that is not in game for over a month. It may not
be wise to run an FC. Its about the community, not owning the group.

If you really love what you built with your FC and they are happy with you back, does it matter if you are the leader? I know in my FC at least we really didn't care who was the leader out of our founders so long as it was someone who was active, would try to get us together to do content and make newbies feel welcome. (Which to be honest, the last 2 fall on all FC members.) You have the same FC, only difference is the title of you, and the new leader. The new leader must have done those things while you were away or you'd have returned to an empty FC. (Or maybe you did? I don't remember reading that though, sorry if I missed it, it's early for me. @.@) :3

SE have the chat logs, no screenshots needed. Every action you do in game is logged.
