My guild was stolen!!!!

Username: xXDanteCrossXx Server: Faierie my name is Death Scythe. I recently ended up homeless and in a situation where I could not possibly log onto the game while finding a home and new job. The new program in the game which switches the guild leader to someone else after 35 days took effect. When I got back onto the game after losing my home another player had become guild master. Upon explaining my situation and the details that went with it to him he very rudely refused to return ownership of my guild to me. I sent a complaint to Square Enix and they sent a Game Master to speak with me. Upon speaking with him/her I was informed that Square Enix does not allow Game Masters to handle these situations. So now I have wasted and lost 8 months of my life and 275,000 gil and am EXTREMELY unhappy with Square Enix. I was informed by the Game Master that posting here would be the best bet to resolve this issue and possible help Square Enix fix problems like this for people.

Unfotunately there is nothing that you or they can do. When you agree to being a FC leader you also agree that for ANY REASON your forfeit leadership after 35 days. I would remove the persons name from this post as that is actually a breach of TOS. I do wish there was better news for you mate after what you had to go through. Just as it is in life, and MMO is not always fair. I do hope you can understand and hopefully you can find or make a better FC for yourself.

Possibly it was NOT true.
The 35days thing was added at patch 2.2 (25March) , and OP said he lost 8months,
so when OP starting his FC, there was no the 35days thing.

This is why your 2nd in command needs to be someone you trust wholeheartedly.

Also why a website/facebook/twitter for your FC is important. I'm willing to bet they had no idea why you were MIA. If the new leader did know, then he's an even bigger douchebag!

He knew and had agreed beforehand. He had been one of the people who had helped me found it and up until this point had been a decent person for the past year I know ATM nothing can be done, but I know for a fact Square Enix could do something if they wanted they control the servers and can do as they please. I am however only posting on here so they know of the problem and that such a problem actually exists so they can give Game Masters the ability of set in motion some type of system for these types of situations, because in my absence he has basically killed my FC. I just really didn't want to have to lose it I liked it and I've had it for sometime since after I made the mistake of giving over power in my last FC temporarily because I knew I wouldn't be on for awhile almost a year ago.

Firstly, congratulations on getting your life to the point again of being able to partake in online games.
Although I'm sorry for your loss, I feel that the system is working as intended and was for the betterment of your FC that leadership passed.
There seems to be a bit too much drama though. I'm sure you may feel that you lost 8 months of your life, but you were only gone from the game for about 3 months. Seeing that you earned achievements on 4/28/14 and nothing until 8/2/14

There's also a highly likely chance that the regular members of the FC left on their own before leadership was passed, if it seemed to them that the FC's ability to grow wasn't there anymore without a leader. I strongly recommend trying to find your old FC members and talking to them about your circumstances, and if possible starting something else up. But be prepared for them to be skeptical of following your leadership, as you've already taken 2 absences from the game and lost 2 FCs over it.
It might not be the advice you want, but your situation might be best suited to just being a normal member in someone else's FC

... While ordinarily I'd agree with the people posting here, that it's unfortunate but unavoidable... isn't this an agreement between players? Aren't they required to hold to an agreement like that when it involves in-game assets? I mean, if I tell a player "get me 1x raziqsand and 2x emery and I'll make you an i90 accessory" and I then take his items, make the item successfully, and then refuse to give him the item I agreed to give him, isn't that against ToS? Isn't that actionable?

Only if you have the chat logs to prove it.
If screenshots don't exist for this, no reasonable person could fault a GM for refusing to backtrack X number of months looking for this information

Oh, I'd absolutely think you'd need -proof- beyond word of mouth, what I meant was whether he could do something if he did have proof of such an agreement.
