Over 240 maps and no blue bird.

This is another of those items that aren't meant to be common. It's rare on purpose. I've done Boarskin since 2.1, no Tonberry. And that's how it's supposed to be, rare.

I don't mind items being rare but this is ridiculous, almost 5 months of farming the maps and not one bird? I've never worked so hard for a Vanity item in any mmo, it's just getting stupid.

whaoo sounds I was lucky that my retainer brought it to me. I have 3 maps sitting in my inventory that I have yet to put my mind in doing.


From teh sound of it, doesnt seem worth the effort though?

I feel the pain OP... Combined with the maps my friends have done, the number is actually more like 0/1200 maps on the Bluebird! But on the Opo Opo score, one completely worthless dirtbag in our FC got the Opo Opo on his 4th run in the dungeon and promptly quit the game 1 week later.

I was doing my peiste maps with 2 other people from my FC and the deal was "no selling birdy before everyone got one". The 3 of us got the blue bird from each other maps (over many runs but we were pretty lucky though).

And yet I've seen vanity items in other games be far more rare, not to mention untradeable. Because if they bumped up the chance to get it to something you'd likely accept, it would then be too easy to get and lose the vanity of it, because just about everyone would have one.

So you're basically saying you don't mind it being rare, but it's stupid that you don't have one, because it's rare.

I have been very lucky, i've got 3 blue bird in a week (for me and my 2 map-teammate ^^ just the right number) and got 2 tomberry ! And I never buy maps.

On other hand, my servant never brings back good stuff (nothing worth more than 20k and usually fish) And I've never seen the mini opo opo, not even once ! So I may be unlucky here TT__TT

IMHO RNG should be balanced by player and not serverwise because right now, some are over-lucky and other are doomed by bad luck...

Don't know about you, but running Peiste with four players, you should make your money back every round (4 x maps). When you include the chance of an Unhidden, it's definitely positive income, even more so if you take 5 minutes to farm them yourself.

Took me several peisteskin maps to get my blue bird. Even saw several drops of them during my 2.2 TH parties.

On the other hand... the Tiny Bulb from boarskin took me around 6 months till I finally got one. :p
