It's from 1.0 lol that's what I explained in my earlier post. 2.0 has not explained who Teledji Adeledji is to new players. http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Immortal_Flames_Afire in 1.0 we had 3 different "papers" publishing articles which would more than likely contain some kind of lore. Each city state had one. The Mythril Eye for Ul'dah, The Raven for Gridania, The Harbor Herald for Limsa Lominsa. Gamerscape has all the old articles in the archive they're pretty fun reads. But back on to my point, it's hard for new players to understand who exactly is on and what the Syndicate is if they didn't play in 1.0 (that and was from Ul'dah like myself) and even then most 1.0 players didn't understand the storylines. Most of the real Lore of the game wasn't fully understood until Anonymoose, Catapult, myself and others began to brainstorm and rewatch cutscenes (CG Midlander thread, so many pages) and this was when the servers went down or shortly before they did. Luckily for us Ferne stopped by quite a few times to help us with things.
A lot of the 2.0 storyline bugs me (such as Gaius playing 2nd fiddle to the Ascians and being a weak character while Nael was a strong figure and felt like what a real Garlean enemy should be) so I'm hopeful things will get fleshed out more, especially since we were told the 1.0 storylines would be explained eventually (Travanchet and the horn? Corguevais and Ascilia with a splash of who killed Nielle and what happened to Warburton). But yeah Ul'dah will continue to drive me crazy lol I always assumed the "evil" of Ul'dah would come from Lord Lolorito first, he was way more dark and dangerous in 1.0. But Teledji Adeledji is on the Syndicate and the main purpose of the Platinum Mirage is the closed doors high-roller high-stakes casino atmosphere it has going on and if he's a 2nd in line he has a lot to stand if Nanamo is sick/killed/whatever...straight from phase 3 and the same lalafell still has the speech bubble as of 3 minutes ago. (Didn't want to upload 2 of the same pics, only difference being my real character compared to betas)
Wow, I never knew about those in game newspaper articles. Neat, I'll have to read through them. Is he actually blood relative, or is that just a title, like "Merchant Prince"?
Again, he is not the sultana's brother. For know we dont know if she has brothers or not, Se didnt said anything. That he marries or takes the throne of th sultana is very different, but again we dont know. As far as we know he could be a boss, facing him while he is controling omega, like gaius with ultima. He ia not a prince either, just a high lord of the sindicate, his rank is the same as lorolito
He's not really a prince? So you mean to tell me he's putting on airs? If there was a tradition of wealthy men declaring themselves "trade princes" as mentioned above, this would make sense. As it is, I think her imperial majesty would be quite insulted to have someone who was not royalty to declare himself so.
Maybe not an immediate relation to Nanamo, but show me where it says that he has no relation to the Ul Dynasty whatsoever. To not have made a major plot point of this fact by now makes no sense.
That's not how it works. If you want to assume something, you have to show proof that it *might* be possible. Not the other way around.
Otherwise, I can say Roe are actually aliens from another planet, and they have a starship the size of Eorzea, in the north, eating lalafell for breakfast (that point might be true!), and having 12 arms that they usually hide to make people more comfortable. Prove me wrong ?
There's absolutely no proof he is related to the Ul dynasty, so until further notice and more informations, he's not.
SE carefully words things. If he was a Merchant Prince he'd be named so but he's not even a merchant, he owns the Platinum Mirage which is a casino of sorts for rich people, the Pugilists also serve as a sort of Brinks-sercurity service as well as being bodyguards to the rich. He doesn't have to have Ul in his name to be a brother (maybe cousin) to Nanamo. Name sake wise there's no Lore to how names pass on, such as Baldric Thorne and Edvya..we don't know if Edvya's name was Thorne or if she becomes a Thorne if she assumed power or what. The only thing we know is the dynasty name is passed down somehow whether that be birth or when the title Sultan(a) is given. I guess I never should have thrown out my notes from 1.0 lol
