well if your that concerned kill the sch's fairy ->swiftcast is used that only leaves divine breath. several dps are aware of this and it's a well known strategy that killing our fairies forces us to pop swiftcast

No. Healerburn is hard for randoms to topple because there is more than 1 healer and they burn ONE specific healer while leaving the 2nd or even 3rd healers to freecast by not having a melee on them to grief them, thus keeping the healer they are burning up.
Yes, and then if they manage to kill that one healer they are instantly raised. Repeat useless struggle for entire match.
My point was that randoms don't know how to coordinate good (which is a player problem, not a balance problem) and that a near-endless stream of instant raises should be more frustrating to them than simply not being able to kill any of them. In my opinion anyways.
I do see your point of the double resses, however there's a penalty for using Resurrection, which is the standard res. you still get a weakened res debuff from that AND have only a smidgen of hp restored, just like you do in PVE so a person who gets ressed from that is highly likely to just die again once ressed because they have less hp. However Divine Breath resses do not get the res debuff and with 50% restoration to hp on res, the person can pop a pot, second wind, lustrate or whatever and be near full again. So its not so op. I personally don't like using Resurrection for that reason and save my Divine Breath for healers.
Low HP after being revived isn't usually a problem because you have about 5 seconds of raise invincibility as long as you don't do any actions other than moving. Other healer(s) can top you off to get you out of danger-low HP and you'll keep your invincibility still.
i'm usually too busy tanking to hand out raises
There is suggestion made by JP fourm in regard to this issue. It is suggest that casters should receive a form of penalty when use sprint, in particular, caster will be unable to use any actions when sprint is activated. This is intend to address the issue where DRG/MNK is unable to put a sustain pressure on casters.
looks like moar biching and moaning over at the JP forums again to me. ppl have been crying about this since 2013. there is NO logical reason why a healer should be penalized for sprint because a few bad butt-hurt monks and goons don't want to use their brains and peel their faces from their keyboards to use weapon throw to cast heavies or remove sprint. most the time in PVP goons and monks don't even use their heavy nor remove Sprint even when its free to all now. they even get Invigorate AND Enliven. they can sprint, jump, stun and pacify more than a healer ever could outrun with any Sprint. Goons and monks don't need to apply sustain pressure, tanks already do that. But most tanks I've seen are bad so if the healer is just running around free willy, its the tank's fault and healers shouldn't be penalized for that. But when it comes to good tanks, having 2 sustainable pressures on a healer just means they are pretty much insta-dead. its hard enough to heal and kite at the same time. they won't be satisfied until healers are stationary with no spells so they can just 1 shot them. all I see are tears of woe. they just need to build a bridge, get over it and get guud.
I mean damn, if they want a penalty like we can't cast while sprinting, then they should have a penalty that they cant cast a skill while sprinting either. just let us run after each other like Duck Duck Goose
I love scholar! I hope they don't mess with it too much and break it. I saw a poll online of FF14 players and noticed that Japanese players have a marked dislike of SCH, there were only about 75% of JP scholars as there are in NA and EU. Sorry I'm on my phone and can't link source easily, can try Google though.
lol so what they can chase after us using weapon throw and for 20 seconds we just have to hope we can run faster then them? despite the fact they can use sprint invigorate and weapon throw us to death?
Scholars are not god like creatures we are great at surviving i won't deny that but for a very limited time. ignoring other healers we basically have 1-2 minutes of survivability if we are being focused on (even less if the dps is smart)
equanimity-> spam heal->attunement while our fairy heals (which btw doesn't help if you have 10 dps attacking you because i have died and seen other healers die while under attunement)->swiftcast heal(dangerous but you gotta do it)->surecast heal->lustrate x6->surecast heal. at this point if we are still being focused on we are basically out of tricks and it comes down to another healer/us not being focused on long enough to get a heal off which almost never happens with a smart dps. not to mention at any point in time we can be silenced or stunned out of any of these casts. you dont know what frustration is until you pop equanimity and get silenced by bard+monk+paladin for over half its duration. honestly imo scholar is 110% balanced the way it is right now and any adjustment to it in terms of nerfing will put scholar in a bad place.
