I would not say this. I'd look at Ishgard and say Temple Knight/Templar for this one. But yes, a tank job for Lancer either way.

i expect the tank and healing job to be original. so how about a DoW healer and a DoM tank? not dancer though something new

A lot of what they've said recently seems to indicate that they're dropping the "branching jobs" design (like ACN >> SCH or SMN) because they're having issues making it work out. It's understandable (how do you make CNJ, which has Cure, Cure 2, Esuna, Stoneskin, Medica, and Medica 2 into a DPS job?), but it's kind of disappointing.

I think the new tank and healer will likely be their own separate classes. As for myself, I don't really care about a new tank or what it may be, but I'm really hoping for a close range healer/support that uses TP (DNC most likely) since that would play very differently from the current healers and it sounds like it could be very fun.

I hope the next jobs after Ninja is a true support job...

I don't think Dancer should be a pure healing class because it never and should never be a straight healing class.

I hope Dark Knight will be able to do DD and Tank to break the barrier in what you can choose to be.

Yoshida will probably make the new gun class with Gunblades so everyone can piss their pants lol.

Tank = Viking
Healer = Chemist

A brand new grappling class that has nothing to do with the final fantasy franchise...

Seeing how 99% of the rest of the game is fanservice I think it is safe to say that they will maintain the status quo in that regard.
