With Desynthesis on it's way with the next patch

We don't know any details, just general info, so waiting for more info is the smart thing. There is a world of difference between "33.00 means a 33% chance of successful desyth with 5% HQ chance, 100.00 means a 100% chance of successful desyth with 5% HQ chance" and "33.00 means a 100% chance of successful desyth with 5% HQ chance, 100.00 means a 100% chance of successful desyth with 95% HQ chance with triple shards/crystals." The amount successful and failed desynths change your levels is also an important factor. 70 desynths to 100.00 is different than 10,000.

7/10 master all crafters on my server tend to just craft in their fc's house nowadays.
Cuz they have everything they need there minus rmt city spam, random convos filling their screens etc.
i think making it so that you can't be a master all desynther is a good idea as it'll allow ppl to make a few jobs their specialty.

The system is needed - IMHO.

My issue only comes from their possible implementation. IE: Are we going to have the ability 'to lock in' a set skill level? If so then no probs. If I'm constantly desynthing crap to constantly get my skill level back to where I want it - that will irritate me. Although I can see the 'allure' for the constant see-saw effect; I think that combined witht he cap will overwhelm the pampered crafters at this point.

Part of the reason crafted items in general are undervalued is because of the large amounts of people that are able to craft everything under the sun.

It might be annoying initially but most FC's will likely just have to coordinate who does what crafts, but this also depends on how exactly this system works.

So you just want to make more money, ok.

IMO that was a weird reason! ^^; YoishiP has stated ARR was design as solo-enjoyable, so we should not have to concern for sociable.
As someone have said, the approach you suggested will make a lot of spam for WTS/WTB/LF trade ..etc

Moreover, it seems that good item might be desynthesize from untradable item, so maybe you cannot ask someone to desynthesize for you. ^^;

I'm pretty sure it'll work like the "request melds" feature. So that you won't be entirely giving them ownership to the rare items.
So it's a good idea for SE to go about it like this as desynth isn't the main attraction for crafting. It's sorta like frontlines as it is it's own kind of thing.
So boo hoo for all you crafters who want to do everything yourself lol
Just make friends and create a network of who's doing what and problemmmmmm solved.
