yes they do. they have modelers, they recently said they hired a couple of guys to come up with ideas about the minions movements an behaviors, an somebody has to code them in. by my count that is at least 4 people, which i do believe would count as a "team"

nope, but they can stop paying one of those guys and hire another guy that can do the other thing. it's still ultimately about how they spend their budget.

However, it is an completely legitimate use of time to complaining about people complaining about people complaining.

I think that every suggestion is important. Folks who are dedicated to their jobs sometimes take on personal projects - and that suggestion to add xyz just might become someone's personal project on the side.

I also don't believe the nonsense that players don't have an in-depth understanding of the game systems. This couldn't be farther from the truth, and many theorycrafters who receive no compensation for their time other than personal enjoyment have helped developers test and tweak systems for like... ever.

SE should take a lesson from Rift - the warrior lead blew off everyone's comments, and we are talking about serious guys with serious math skills - and he broke the class so badly when Storm Legion hit that Trion ended up firing him. Theorycrafters predicted it and tried to help him. SE has had just as dedicated a following if not MORE so than other games.

The thing is that for the most part this dev team has listened to the community quite well since 1.0 failed and although they could do a bit more to respond to our feedback, I quite like how the dev team listens to us. But now this has created these new people who chime in and tell the dev team to ignore feedback/suggestions because "They should focus only on things I deem important"

Not really sure how much they listen. You also have to remember that they decided very early to go to Blizzard and see how they did it. /conspiracy ;p

At first I was just having fun with this thread, so I apologize if that came across as offensive. But in all seriousness... you're happy that the dev team is responsive to feedback & suggestions... yet you're not happy if someone else has a differing point of feedback or suggestion to what one would assume you have deemed important? Sounds a little hypocritical.

You misunderstand the attitude I dislike. The argument "They shouldn't add this because I want them to add other things I want" is counter productive because it can be said about every feature. More often than not it ends up filling threads with negativity instead of productive feedback.
A perfect example would be a thread I created a while back (which was not the catalyst of this thread) asking if the devs would look into adding an option for fingernail paint. What did my thread attract? First three responses

This is what I don't like and I see it everywhere on this forum and it adds nothing of value and pours negativity into suggestion/feedback threads. And I don't see the hypocrisy in liking that the devs listen to us but dislike people telling them not to listen to us because the selfish want their's and only their's ideas implemented instead.

To be clear, I don't have a problem with posts that disagree with a suggestion or feedback or even posts saying something would be far too difficult or time consuming to implement but comments like those above contribute NOTHING and derail meaningful discussion.
