This sentence has been the bane of meaningful discussion for months and comes up in almost every suggestion thread that comes up from customization to content and everything in between. I even see posts like this in threads asking for things like a report button for when you blacklist someone!

Why do people think that if they choose to patch/add one thing they all of a sudden are incapable of adding anything else? The dev team is huge and they have whole teams dedicated to specific tasks, so that person asking for new vanity items / balance changes / quality of life changes? Yeah, that's not going to affect how soon we get new dungeons so stop making it out like it will.

This sentence adds nothing to the discussion.
This sentence does not stop the dev team from looking into suggestions.
This sentence is redundant.

I'll have you know, some gamers know 100 times better how to develop and improve a game than the actual developers and/or producer. Their knowledge ranges from every single aspect of the game that is (or will be) developed to how to balance classes and the economy of a game, all this without breaking some other important aspects of the game (they are just so very smart). Now, I understand that you might be confused by this, maybe it is that our (including myself) minds are not as advanced as theirs and we are not able to see the big picture they are proposing. I can only hope to one of these days reach a level of enlightenment, at least a little close to that of these characters so I can also "suggest" an entire team, working on many aspects of a game (that are correlated), how, when and what to do, treating things as an isolated matter that doesn't involve other mechanics at all. (/sarcasm)

This is a habit that, sadly, never goes away.

I frequent another forum where the development staff for the game are actually very, very active (it's incredible given the size of the community and game), and they've explained several times that - to put it in XIV terms - "Putting the guy who works on the new gear models into trying to balance PvP isn't going to do a damn thing". Hell, there's a post like that every week or two. People still repeat the misconception over and over and over, because people think that 'working on a game' is one all-encompassing skillset.

You are aware that there are different teams, right? There's likely a handful out of the hundreds/thousands of developers who work on minions.

Do you actually believe that the people who model minions are going to be familiar with the core programming of the repair system so they could implement a one-click-crafter repair?
