It surprises me how unaware of the gil making potential of these chests people don't realize. I'm ok with people remaining ignorant to it. My gil making went up like crazy, esp sense I'm working on animus, and get these items a LOT sense no one wants them for the same reason. Keep it commin ya'll I've made a few mil alone just from spamming brayflox and selling the items sense the last big update. Thanks for the contribution :p.Quote:
I don't get this mentality though, can't you trade them in for GC seals? I mean they aren't super useful but you could spend them on ventures or something.
Also not to mention the prices are going up more and more because supply is going down due to many people finishing animus and are no longer farming myth, or getting many GC items.
I grab and greed all the chests when I can, DL armors can be sold for 500+ gils, acc is 100+ gils, if i remember correctly. Most of people SR brayflox for myth or sol tomes, that is the reason why they choose to ignore the cheasts
Woah you sell it to the npc? Are you crazy? smh... I'm afraid to make a break down of how you should be doing this with the GC. The amount of people oblivious to this gil making opportunity is staggering. Just for starters I'll say 800 GC seals per DL item, maybe more. 2500 GC seals = 1 peacock ore/potash/etc(check market board for the most in demand) Just one of those items sells for 3-5k on the market board. Someone like me that farms for animus in brayflox caps this frequently. So lets say after a day of grinding you got to 50,000 seals. You can buy 20 of those items I mentioned times 3k-5k gil = 60,000 - 100,000 gil. I've capped GC twice in one day from grinding for animus. Keep on bypassing those chests, and passing please. That's not even counting all the gil you get from killing trash and such.. Or the random peacock ore, potash that drops from boss chests.
Shh, Drako! You're giving away all our secrets! ;)
Come on, is not that much.
In fact, in our server, Moogle, you can get aprox 1 potash/3,10 DL items and sell it for about 3500. That's about 1130/item.
It's not that much considering you can farm 150 myths in less than 25 minutes and easily get 50K + gils of the run. That's more than 2000 gil /minute ...
If you slow down a little bit the flow of the dungeon to get those chest maybe the total income is a bit more... I don't know. Speaking with the npc each time to sell them takes probably around 10-15 sec /item, them picking all those potash or cokes or whatever and selling them... Is a lot more clicks than just 1 mytho item /150 mythos.
:p Anyway I'm not doing anything for giles now :p And besides, I don't like to look on that list what I want to trade for seals and what I want to keep.
But It may work very well with people with the inventory well organized. Mine is hell :D
You can trade DL in for like 800seals a pop right now. It's worth it if only for that.
I use seals mostly for stockpiling ventures nowadays.
Those chests are always skipped when I run the expert dungeons. I really don't mind since my alt jobs are all wearing darklight jewelry and I can't roll on them anyway.
