Wtf!? :0 the vanity pieces on our server ( admantoise ) has tanked under 500k (HQ) and 300k ish (NQ)
And the levi barbs are like 5-10k each? :0000
All the myth items too have dropped to 90-120k
Also i still laugh when i see ppl make HQ vanity pieces and sell it for 1 mill +
But yea back on topic, i suck at crafting but i felt good when i crafted a riviera armchair :p

I've always wondered how other 3star crafters go about pricing. How do you price an item/service if the customer is supplying all the matts vs. no matts at all.

I'm pretty much 3star ready on all my crafts but i have yet to make anything besides HQ Terminus Putty as i'm too scared to invest Myth on SaurianSkin, Shcheelite, Radz if the end products are only going to sit on the MB (selling T.Putty has been profitable for me so far and i'm contemplating just doing this).

Its almost like obtaining all of the Artisan Tools/crafting 3stars is the easy part. Selling/Marketing yourself seems to be the hard part for me at least. I have been trying to wrap my head around some kind of business model with no such luck.

At this point i've moved to farming Myth to buy the matts, im' just not sure what to do next. Either mass craft 3stars to put on MB or shout bark and come up with some kind of pricing model. I only wish that there was a Crafting Community where we can all agree on some kind of shared business model so as to not undercut eachothers profits.

They will move if set at the right price, people are smart minus the gil buyers... they don't want to pay a 100-200% markup when they can ask to get it crafted and pay 30-60%... if you price into these levels based on what people that would just find a crafter to make it would pay.. the majority of them will buy it off the marketboard and not only that you will pretty much get a private market to yourself if you get good at it and hq everything you see just about minus putty since other mb participants tend to be greedy and scoff at you meanwhile you are making money hand over fist on sales that were just as good as 2 star ever was

Mateus is one of the youngest servers so not surprised at the price hike. Far less 3*-capable crafters I imagine.

If you bring all the materials to make the high end crafts then i see no reason why you should be charged no more than 10k.
10k is enough to cover repairs and you aren't losing anything in your inventory.
15-20k if it's hq lol.
If crafters demand that i pay them 100k + just for it then i'll be like sorry but thts too pricy for a my offer and i'll just go find another.

Hah, yeah I saw that. I put up an HQ spring dress for 799,999 and it sold today too. Boy am I glad it did, cuz I was just about broke.

I sell tidal barding at 250k and make good profit, although they did sell at 400k for awhile.

that being said the barbs and raziq-sand have jumped in price since I started making them.

I made a carbuncle wardrobe that sold for 600k which I was happy about as it wasn't cheap to make.

When the first items were being made, I had spent around 10mil getting my crafts re-melded (mainly just offhand and chest) and master books/tools.

I listed the finished products for around 2mil each on the market, mats were around 500k to make on average.

For someone selling ex kills this is not a great amount and they were the first items to be listed.
