big demand for myth leads to brayflox speed runs. Myth only dropping from two bosses leads to people dropping after two bosses. Certain people for some reason don't want to use PF to make their own speed run, so they use DF.
Add myth drops to last bosses of the three new dungeons, and maybe that will ease the problem.
Look at Halatali HM. I think that's his attempt at starting the process of destroying speed runs. After the 1st boss, it's near impossible to overdrag mobs since some enemies come out 1 by 1, and others are already in a small group of 3. I have a feeling he'll be doing this again in the future, and I've heard rumors that all the dungeons will get changed to where there are barriers preventing you from going forward before you kill the small groups of enemies already in your way.
even if areas were gated, mob pulls slowed down etc.
if one dungeon takes 15min and one takes 18min, the 18min dungeon becomes obsolete, SE should test more and release dungeons that are finetuned, 10min or 30min doesn't matter to farmers, as long as there's not 1 clear option thats better than the other
Easiest way to stop people leaving mid way is to make it worthwhile for them to finish the dungeon; i.e. make the final boss drop Myth tomes as well. Maybe they could make Soldiery tome rewards automatically convert into Myth once you've hit the cap for the week.
Wouldn't it be easier to just change how the tomes are distributed? As in instead of giving 20 tomes then 30 tomes for the first two bosses, you get 10 for each boss then get 30 myth tomes and te sol tomes on the final boss.
You would still get 50 myth tomes but I doubt people would consider 15 mins for 20 myth to be worth it.
That's a good point. Redistribution of tomes might work. Hell give a dang bonus for completing the duty. I bet we would have more steady clears then.
"So if I stay for the 10-12mins instead of the 6-8mins I'll get and extra 60or 70 tomes....ok I'm in.
Only time will tell though.

Difference is WP/AK speedruns where done by the tank running through and grabbing all the mobs possible and dieing in s safe spot so the mobs reset and the healer could rez and they continued.
SRs now are grabbing all, or as many mobs as possible, and burning them down all together instead of a pack at a time. Ones abusing mechanics, the other is using power gained from gear levels to push it harder.
