I'd like to add that whenever you add FF11-specific terminology, you're already setting the expectation that this is going to be another "make this more like FF11" thread. If you want a constructive thought, you should either use terminology that is going to be recognized by people that didn't play the game, or at least go through the trouble of explaining what it is and why it is good.
"More Life to the environment," is about the most vague thing I've read all day. You have to realize that most readers are going to have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
Scrolls sound like a terrible idea that won't do anything but make the class more hassle than it is worth. It literally adds nothing to the class itself. Why would you suddenly add a roadblock to a skill just for the sake of adding a roadblock? O_o
Also, you aren't doing anyone any favors by attacking Gilraen because they don't agree with you; you are sounding more like a whining brat than anything, and what could have been a productive thread is probably going to be derailed brutally. Not Liking FF11 = You Suck is going to make it very hard for anyone to take you seriously.
I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of something similar to Notorious Monsters (NMs), as long as that ridiculous claim system wasn't around.
I don't think Materia would have any use. It would probably go about as far as the Skill Points that we currently have; you are probably not going to get any worthwhile bonus, and it will really just be another thing that will cause people to scrutinize you because of your gear. Also, since so many fights have instant-death mechanics, changing your stats around a bit isn't really going to have any significant impact, imo. It really won't do much but gimp you in the end.
