Glamour Opinions

I agree with the comments about the tiered prisms. There should just be clear prisms (no grade) that you can use to make leatherworker prisms, weaver prisms, etc. Since the mats/price are the same for each grade, having the grades at all is pointless and frustrating. I'd like to be able to carry many prisms with me wherever I go, but I end up having to waste additional inventory slots in order to cover all the level ranges.

Also, it's silly that the system isn't compatible with gear that takes up more than one slot. For example, the Odin gear and the Reindeer suit can't really be used, which seems ridiculous since they're obviously vanity gear.

I think the glamour should be more option in what gear a person can wear, any job should be able to glamour any item as long it it not a jobs AF gear or having a whm walking around in tin can tank armor. Like Acolyte's Skirt or Foestriker's Skirt for example should be able to be glamour regardless whether it DoW or DoM or DoL.

I like it a lot & I'm looking forward to more variety of source patterns. I've been running around with the sailor outfit glamoured to my armor.

I have only two issues with the glamour system: 1) The glamours being tied to gear and not gearset. It's a pain to update glamour if you are switching between gear. I'd really wish they'd change it.

2) They should have implemented glamour items similarly to how they implemented furniture. i.e having special vanity mats drop from dungeons/etc. I'd like a lot more variety in vanity sets.

My only other issues with vanity is the dye system and how we can't dye multiple parts of outfits and thus have to hunt down specific items hoping one exist with the color you want (and in some cases like Acton for caster hoping another exists that equippable by your class).

I just wish we could glamour DoH and DoL gear to DoW/M. As long as you have those classes leveled that is. How awesome would it be to have a Black Mage in an alchemist coat or a Paladin with an Armorer's visor?

edit: and yes, remove the "Grades" from the prisms. So pointless and messy.

I like the concept, but the execution is sloppy and bloated. There's no reason at all to require several tiers of prisms. There could have been -- like spreading out the recipes to be available at different levels instead of all at 30 and all essentially the same recipe, but the way it's implemented serves only to dilute the profitability of crafting any particular prism and clog up people's inventories (or encourage players not to keep materials on hand). Better, more intuitive and user friendly systems not only exist in other games, but are more obvious than what they created here. As many have said, simply giving players separate glamour equipment slots (even slots that consume a prism every time you swap gear out) would have been easier to work with and had fewer limitations than we currently have to deal with.

No you don't have to glamour again to dye. Just dye your glamoured piece if it can be dyed.

Most BIS gear cannot be dyed. Example. I equip bards shirt. Glamour cotton shirt to it. Then, if I decide to dye cotton shirt, it stays the original color rather than the newly dyed color. Which is dumb since the actual cotton shirt in my inventory is the newly dyed color.

I love it~! My only issue is that the DoM options are extremely limited and repetitive. I also wish more glamour recipes would be added to crafting..

I love the glamour system. Pre-patch I thought it was going to be something I didn't give a **** about, but I use it a lot. The grade system actually benefits crafters. It is a lot harder for prisms to get undercut to hell when there are large varieties of them.

The tiered prisms only works if could create the tiered prisms by that level otherwise there no point have tiered clear prisms if only a lvl 50 can create them.
