These are not chocobos. Just oversized peeps. It is part of the easter event. Peeps mounts for those that complete a special hidden quest.
Higher calorie intake than that exerted.
It doesn't matter what you eat, if you're stationary, you're not losing anything.
I've been tormenting a friend who used to play this with all the screen shots of fat chocobos. His reactions have been hilarious.
