Jobs are for party content.
DoL and DoH don't have party content. Maybe sometime in the future.
Jobs are for party play.
Crafting/Gathering gets nothing by partying.
Getting jobs would be silly (also they're already kind of "jobs.")
You can already specialize in things with "training." Unless you want something like WoW where you can specialize in different kinds of crafting that unlocks different recipes (Ex: Gnome Engineering or Goblin engineering)...then I say that'd be okay but also kinda ruin the "one character for everything" hook.

I remember reading that now, i think it's worth remembering though that there are many remnants of the original team's plan for the game that we will never see and I think this is simply a case of the official site needing updated - i'm sure they will get around to that when the game is in proper order.
Yeah but that was my point they already had plans for DoL/DoH to fight in battle along side DoW/DoM but they scraped it before launch. There was an interview in March last year that they were giving examples of how they worked saying that Miner was a THF type class with Treasure Hunter to increase drop rates but it was all pulled before Alpha. My guess is they realised by doing that they could never have the traditional type Jobs that a lot of people want as again all the skills would be split among the DoL/DoH even further.
