New token/oil upgrade system screws healers

If you have a coil run where you barely missed the dps check. Won't you feel like crap after taking oils away as healer/tank?

Coil is pretty much dps checks after you get mechanics down.

If you don't care about progression speed enough then yes this system doesn't screw you over. You can take oils and progress ok from sold and drops alone. But you will probably wipe alot more though.

Only time a healer should feel like crap during a run is if the healer is performing like crap. So ask yourself, did you perform well or did you perform like crap? Further 'taking away' suggests you're not going to be using them to improve your gear. You just going to sit on the oils or do you genuinely intend to use them?

If i play poorly during a run , my gear wont save me there lol.
Maybe they should buff healer gear where it actually matters outside of epeen and max hp. I am speaking as a whm though.
They could do this by adding set bonuses like wow. Those are game changing .

T8 was cleared before the first reset, it's not a gear issue.

i'm not saying everybody is going to be in a top tier group but why should the healers and tanks feel like crap that the DPS failed the DPS check?

You don't understand how coil works do you... If you have better dps you wipe less because you get past phases quicker.
Theres also a bit of luck involved when it comes to dps. E.g dps constantly being targeted by conflags or dreads over the healers. Which reduces their dps.

Alot of clears are due to the group being extremely lucky with RNG. They have a lucky run where the healers/offtank/bard are always targeted by mechanics that reduce dps by requiring movement or even just stunning you. So for normal runs they may need a certain amount higher to beat the dps check.

Also the turn 8 clear may have been false? Either way that doesn't mean everyone can beat coil 8 with current gear.

that's how most DPS checks work, it's not exclusive to Coil. and if you're saying the group failed the DPS check because of luck, luck shouldn't make anyone feel bad.

you're implying the group on our server that SE acknowledged as World First on Twintania falsified their Turn 8 clear and you're telling me i don't know how Coil works?

So to clarify, it's not the game that is "screwing" you, it's your static group. And if it only increases your healing by 10hp, it doesn't matter if you have to wait a bit.

I thought you were talking about a different group lol. Grats BG for killing turn 8. Not really been on reddit or the dungeon forum for a while so i was misinformed there. I didnt mean to slander BG lol...

Honestly, I fail to see the logic here. So far 1-8 has been cleared in i90. So it seems to be mainly mechanic based. Honestly, only thing that probably needs upgraded to clear 9 is weapons unless there's a health mechanic like fireball
