Haha, sorry I deleted the post in respect to his privacy as we are no longer on talking terms. He got mad at me long time ago and we black listed each other's :(.
Just thought I should inform you why I deleted the post :).

Right now, what is the point of having an in-game currency?
I am sorry, I saw your forum name and Character Name then I could not even read the first sentence of your post. I was laughing too hard. (a bad laugh.)
Bored crafters, buying houses/primals? Mirage prisms will change this.
OT:Very much disagree. Gonna be pissed off if some gil buying idiot can just buy his way to ilvl 115 or w/e. Sure, play the whole "you want to live in fear of rmt?" argument but then this is exactly what would happen if craftable endgame gear was tradable. Square aren't retarded, stop asking for this crafters.
I find it funny how your sig is all like "If ffxiv says its this way, then it's this way" But they already said crafting will be useless and you're like "I disagree!"
Anyway I think crafting should be sorta of useful but it will never be. :<
I feel that Food is in a good place right now. I feel that Alchemy could use a few tweaks to make it on par with food due to the fact that it's kind of a 'nice to have' but doesn't feel necessary.
As far as gear is concerned, we don't want another RMT owned AH exhibition a la FFXI where you have to pay outrageous prices to buy a belt that gives you +2 more int than you already have (and people have decreed that you must have this piece of equipment or else you don't get party invites >.>)
I would, however, agree with having recipes/mats drop for crafted items that are the same ilevel as the dungeon they come from. It would give crafters some motivation to raid, and it would generate some income.
Any BLM who thinks Alchemy isn't necessary isn't buying and using my patented "bottled Flares" (TM) often enough.
A Mega-Ether is just enough to toss an extra Flare.
Are YOU wearing 37 pieces of flair?!

Crafting is used as a steeping stone to get the best gears in a game. It is fine as is. There would be little motivation to do endgame content if you could just buy the best gear from the market boards.
