I don't think it's unlikely as the myth cap will be going away. They'll basically be handing people ilvl90 gear at that point. I don't see why they couldn't implement an i70 GC gear so as it's not completely irrelevant. It seems silly that they won't be implementing new ranks for what, a year? Since they won't be raising level cap til the expansion.Quote:

I stand by my statement. You'll get more ranks when they raise the cap. There are actually more ranks that we don't have access to than we do. You can see all the unavailable ranks if you click on your own rank in the character screen.
When will more Grand Company ranks be added???

They can add more ranks and then add a battle activity cloned from treasure hunt for the GC.
-Players go to the GC base and receive a military order every X hours
-Form parties and set out to problem areas
-Patrol around for garlean army
-Find them and eliminate them
-Repeat for as many dispatch orders available among players
-Return to the GC and report and receive high ranking seals
-Exchange high ranking seals for a 3rd alternative endgame gear (allagan/myth/gc)
Maybe add a medal system too for minor out of battle boosts (movement speed boost in uldah if you're a high ranker in uldah, affiliated npc shops sells things cheaper, etc).
Bring back companions from 1.x too. This time you get one as your subordinate from the GC.
