If you summon at a bell it doesn't return to what it was doing in the wards. It doesn't matter if the retainer was in a city other than Ul'dah. No one shops or does business in them.

no if you summon a retainer that has a bazaar open once you dismiss it the retainer does not go back to the other city and set up shop again. it closes shop until you put it back up. you can call one that is selling in grid to limsa for you though, but once done it does not go back to grid. you can, however, just leave it in limsa selling until you return to grid and summon it there again.
Well, but then this feature is (almost) useless. Because it will mean that you lose your auction house / ward spot, and have to manually set up the retainer again later anyway!?Quote:

haven't played in 4 months and your retainer was still up in another city, luuuckyyy.

oh and to solve the problem of to many retainers in the wards, implement an AH and have retainers as a secondary form of sales.
SE had this great idea that retainers would make it look like a real life market area, ha, what a joke. Looks like a bunch of zombies bunched up shoulder to shoulder. Go ahead and tell me how awesome the wards are and ill tell you now in advance, your wrong.
Welcome back.
Thanks for the replies - at least for the kind ones.
After the torture of buying new equipment in the zombie wards
I actually had a blast doing some missions. While the rewards
were negligible, having NPCs actually tell you a background
story (not just a wall-o-text like in guildleves) sure had a
much more personal feel to it!
SE is slower than a slug on sandpaper,
but at least the slug seems to crawl in the right direction now!
Welcome back !
Had to post in your thread because I can understand how you feel. I crashed 3 times while looking for a free ward, which I found on my 17th attempt ...
