that is what they are doing right now irana, log in do leves and done. some don't even log in on days there is no leve reset though that is cause game is crap. either way all you people saying both options are just daydreaming.
it has to be a game of party play or a game of solo casual content, it can't really be both, unless you do what gw2 is doing and having both in game but completly seperate. having all the content with the choice of either is fail and it gonna have most people leave, no matter how many "casual/solo'ists" there are in this game it is gonna make the game fail.
so one or the other, or fully seperate stuff of 50/50 party play and solo. u want solo do that half, bored and acually have time alright i'll go party today instead of go look for new game. want to party all the time do party play, bored i can go run threw the solo crap real quick inbetween events and stuff.
it can't and wont be both, it has to have a line that separates it or it won't really be good. it will be more casual or more hardcore. why do 2 things mediocre, do 1 thing really good.
That what most players do now what else there is to do beside leves? that why everyone is level up craft that one thing you can long in and do something. There no Real party camp you can do that give you more then 350SP at med level. I don't know how many people i see logging in /sh for party link log off soon they done.
All am staying they need to make more stuff for party too then we have to do our leves and if it give bad sp with other then that really going to be lame. they said there going to be a line for dungeon so not everyone can go in and do them which is lame but at least help out on not everyone getting bored of it within 1day but then again people may get sick of trying just to enter.
More people = Higher difficulty = More SP, Leve Linking isn't going anywhere.
that's like a story of a person who wants to make money and is a brilliant scientist. hes offered a salary of 1,000,000,000/year to develop a new rocket, but he decides instead, to be an artist. he knows that artists only make 10,000/year, but that's alright because its what he wants to do and he can still make money doing it.
these things don't happen very often do they?
without parties being the most lucrative option, parties will be a rarity. the players that do decide that they will sacrifice the accomplishment of their goals in a reasonable amount of time and play in parties are too few and far in between that they never actually can coordinate to make a party.
for parties to be a viable option you have to give incentive to form parties. the majority of players have to see partying as the best way to accomplish their goals or the whole concept of party play gets thrown to the side - this is not true for solo play. if a person decides that they want to play the game alone than they can do that whenever they want to, they don't have to coordinate with other players to set up solo play.
making parties is difficult, the players who spend the time to make them should be rewarded for doing so, not punished - if you spend the time to set up a party you should be able to acquire faster exp than if you hadn't. its a game of incentives for the developers, if you want your game to have parties, you make incentives for players to make parties, if you don't make those incentives, you don't have parties - either way you will have people playing alone.
Hey its a fine solo action rpg... /sarc /rolleyes
They did make partying take 3 steps back. I also love parties/grinding and never really minded the waits in ff11. Being as there is solo friendly stuff in 14, I do wish theyd implement some ff11 party tools.
