Why botting is stupid(IMO)

People these days care less about the adventure and more about being at max level with their haubergeon of infinite evil so that they can show off.

Everyone who is only interested in bot fishing.. leave now.

There is no "adventure" in doing the same 400+ synths over and over again to get 1 level. Not really sure how that is a memorable experience you'd tell your grand kids.

Doesnt that take the fun out of the game? You really cant invest your own time into the product you paid for? Using real money to get "fake" money is one thing(i also find this offensive, but i can understand the want for sweet gear), but paying to have your character leveled is just plain dumb.

I doubt we will get any responses from people who actually bot, but ive heard people talk about it in game, and im just like WTF mate, you suck, GTFO.

Botting probably wouldnt be a problem if there was any reason to slow down, right now the only extra content to do besides leves and behests is at level 50. Plus the grind slows down a bit at 30. So you get botters.

If there were more quests, or less grinding based progression botting wouldnt be as much of an issue because you know..people would actually be having fun playing the game.


TL;DR There's no adventure in the journey right now, just the destination.

The way i see it (and im sure botters would not agree), why pay for a game, only NOT to play it?

ok, so you skip the bits in the middle that drags at times, so what. When you go to work, do you sit in traffic for ages, letting out a little sigh at "those traffic lights", or do you click your fingers, taking you instantly from work?

Traffic lights, every time. Why, because thats part and parcel of the whole package.

Ok, FFXIV isnt work, but to pay out £ or $ (which you worked for) it seems silly not to get every last bit of that out of the gaming experience

god botter's >< I dont see the point in it really the fun in a game like this is getting some freinds or even meet new friend's while you level up and level up together you can't do that have the fun and enjoyment that brings if a bot is doing all the work and u have pissed of somewhere.

Do we really need to explain to people why botting is bad? lol....

bot are crazy, rmt is there but the amount of loot is enough buying stuff & making money easy, the games still balenced.
BUT!!! the problem will arrive when items/armor/weapons start to be different and one item has nicer than anything stats, depending on how after you can get it/them then crap might hit the fan.
