PS4 mouse and keyboard

it may be because the usb port not only provides info but also powers the device so if the devices plugged need more supply than what the usb can provide they won't work.

I have experienced something similar with an external hard drive unit for my PC that can be powered with the usb or using an external power supply. on a PC the usb is more than enough for it to work but if I use it on a tablet I need to use the external power supply for it to work (and thank god for it)

There's a number of possibilites, simply look for PS3/4 Compatability with bluetooth.

There's a few official sony ones aswell if you're willing to work over the dough.

Heh I like howm they are advertising keyboard+mouse as PS4 specific. PS3 works just fine with those as well... Though true it only has the controller UI layout from what I know(I'd like a hybrid - i.e. I'd like to put a normal hotbar somewhere to the side that would have stuff like off GCD cooldowns and stuff shown but still use controller for the rest).

I use a Logitech mouse and keyboard set that utilizes one USB stick and haven't had any problems with either PS3 or PS4. Granted, it's rare I'll have something plugged in to the second USB port.

your best bet for the ps4 is to use a USB mouse and key bored if possible however if your truly wishing for bluetooth mouse i can recommend any bluetooth mice from razer i tend to hear very good things about them

That is what i already tried if you read what i had already said. Two USB devices - USB mouse and keyboard - fail to work at the same time. However one on its own does. Mouse only plugged in - it works! Keyboard only plugged in - it works! Both plugged into different USB ports - NEITHER WORK!

Great news! I will go fetch one of these combos today!

I've got a USB hub plugged into my superslim PS3 so I can attach a headset, the webcam, a PSP charging cable, and a wireless keyboard dongle all at the same time, and haven't had any problems so far. >_>b

I've played DUST 514 using said wireless keyboard and a wired mouse and it seems to go okay?

Maybe there's a difference between PS3 systems, or maybe it partly depends on how much power your devices draw. My wireless keyboard has its own batteries, and I suspect a big gaming keyboard with glowy lights would probably pull lots more power.

My PC keyboard is a Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate and my mouse is a G700s. I have tried using my USB 4 output switcher to connect the mouse and keyboard to the PS4, without much success. I have even tried directly connecting them to the front ports. Only one will work at a time and only if its the only thing plugged in. If i plug them both in at the same time, neither work.
