Get rid of it, it's bloody annoying, I really hate how long it takes for Garuda egi to use her skills and I have to constantly spam them just for her to do her stupid animation quicker and I really hate when I use buff skills for them to not work since the animation spazzes out, this ruins the game for me a lot.
I must admit, in solo play, I sometimes wait until the animation has finished before using another skill, even if it's on a separate cool-down cycle. It's so weird to watch a Bard draw the bow, then draw the bow, then draw the bow - and never actually fire until the rotation is exhausted. I'd like to see the animations complete in full - but, obviously, the game isn't set up like that. And it'd be a nightmare.
Also, Barrage doesn't physically load three arrows. WTF SE.
What I did notice is a problem with skills, that are outside the GCD.
Example from my SCH.
Casting animation of my regular spells ends some time after the GCD is over and all buttons are not dark anymore. I'm able to cast a new Physik just right after the GCD is over. But I cannot use etherflow or any skill that uses the etherflows till the casting animation of my spell is done. So I've to wait more time, to use my skills, that are outside the GCD, than for the regular skills.
Hope I could write it understandable.
With the way they've made ARR, removing animation lock would basically make us all overpowered in the sense that we could choose at any particular moment to unload all abilities that are not on the GCD and rotate back to GCD abilities and then do it again. They'd basically have to account for that too - not just a mechanics change. Basically this game is crafted around the lock...
But in this case, the buttons should stay dark, till I really can use them. Thats actually not the case.
Same when soloquesting. Mostly I do use my etherflow skills after bio (Instantdot). The button of the etherflow skillsl never get dark, but I get error messages, when I hit them before the animation is over.
