Undercutting by stupid amounts - why do it!

If there aren't many of the items up for sale and somebody undercuts me by a lot I just buy their item and relist it at my price :D

Vendor it then - All this does is collapse markets on items. Some people craft for profit, then you have people that just "want to get rid of it" and don't care if they sell it for 200g-30k under the steady price.

I put things up for sale for what I would pay for them. I don't check current prices first, and if I end up undercutting someone by 10k, I couldn't care less. Just part of the game.

Only time I've undercut by a lot of gil was when I found a decent niche, and someone popped up one day and kept undercutting me by good amounts of gil on items that sold pretty quickly. So I crashed it! MWAHAHA

When someone does crazy undercutting I just buy all their crappy listings and resell them at the price I want. Massive undercutting seriously irritates me.

People undercut me by 1 gil or two. Not a big deal. People undercut me by 50 gil or more? Be prepared for me to screw up the market prices D:< IT'S WAR.

I do this on my server too.

Only I undercut niche markets till the regular sellers crash it in the hope that I leave, I buy up all the super cheap stuff, leave them alone then list what I bought off them for 600-1000% markup and make a killing.

then I do it all over again next week.

I should've clarified: I do it mainly on the dye market. >.>

This is pretty much what I do, or try to (I have some really persistent, stubborn goats on my server). Want to play in my market? Undercut me first? I'll be more than happy to take it all the way to the bottom. Undercut me anyways? There goes your profit as well. Buy me out? I'll put up more at the same price. Go find profit elsewhere because there's none for you here.
