Please do something about duty finder queues...

Considering I've only been playing as BLM since ARR launched....they weren't for me, nor were they for many others I've spoken to. It's gotten worse, not better. The AK issue was more of an actual glitch in their system then a problem with DPS classes being many and tanks being few.

My queue's as a tank are instant and usually about 1-5 minutes as a healer. This obviously means that there's a lack of tanks and healers and that it's not a problem with the data centers.

The only way to fix this would be to entice more people to play as tanks or healers, or to change the size of parties needed for a dungeon. Four is obviously too small as that only allows you to bring two DPS. Having light parties of five or even six would greatly reduce the queue times for DPS.

Nah, the wait now has nothing to do with instances available or the datacenters being in groups. Adding more servers or removing the dividers won't do much of anything since the root issue is still the same.

As an example of the Reserving Instance issue:

That was COMMON, especially on Mondays. As you can see the group was already complete, they had to wait for a free instance server.

Again, that is not an issue with too many DPS and not enough tanks, which is what the issue at present is. That was a problem with their servers reaching max capacity for number of instances allowed for that dungeon. I see your point, but it has nothing to do with the one I'm making at present.

And that issue cannot be fixed without people playing tanks/healers more or groups allowing more than 2 DPS per tank/healer combo. Opening up DF to all servers again, will not help. Part of the reason it would get worse in that regard is how tanks, more so new and learning ones, are treated in instances. You might be a nice little butterfly, but many are not.

What do you want them to do, force people to tank? Opening up the DF, assuming they could get rid of the instability issues, won't help. So, next on your list?

No, it's really just about players wanting to see big numbers which grow their epeen than compared to a healer or tank who has none of them but carry the party silently without anyone realising (except maybe amongst themselves)

OP, and others as well... try find something else to do while waiting. There's DoH/DoL or grinding other classes/job if you haven't. Or is you don't like doing it, can always browsing webs or watching tv/movies. lol

Don't really having problems with waiting when I roll as dps. Don't like it? Roll as tank and start learn playing it. lol

The reason your queue time is so long is because you're trying to do a dungeon that nobody else wants to do, or few has unlocked.

When 2.1 came out, trying to DF Moogle King was a nightmare. Not many people had it unlocked at that point.

Dps queue time is 20-30 minutes on average.
