Just because you can fluidly switch between passive and active doesn't mean that Fleet of Foot won't have an effect. Fleet of Foot effects movement speed with you weapon out. In essence, if you don't have Fleet of Foot, you'll still run slow with your weapon out, you just won't have to worry about that initial stop of pulling out your weapon.
It's better, I don't like the fact the character slid along with no animation, but I guess they will add that eventually.
Or maybe everyone in XIV has them kiddies shoes with the roller skates built in - whats they called?..
This is one of the things I'm most excited about. Being a caster, pulling out my weapon isn't really part of the excitement of the battle experience for me. Stopping to make an epic pose when taking up my wand is really just silly. Moreso, being a healer, it's important I can stay on my tank's heels and cure him/her quickly when they run into battle (and let's face it, you tanks always do, LOL). Removing the stop-animation will make things feel much smoother.
Great big thumbs up!
Fleet of Foot is for fleeing b*tches =D
1.18 for functionality, so will look weird, 1.19 supposed to fix it, so we'll see how weird it looks.
I'm personally looking foward more to the new WS animations though.
and here you go with your unintelligent posts. How many times did it take you to learn how to ride a bike? How many times did you have to work a math problem before you got the right answer? Why aren't you perfect? Also, this is a different dev team. They couldn't do this "from the beginning" because they weren't here in the beginning.
