Housing was promoted HEAVILY for months upon months before the content was scheduled for release. We have been looking forward to it. We have been scrimping and saving since open beta.

Now, before I say the following, please rest assured that I understand that plans change. We were initially told that 4-5 people going through the storylines could save enough gil to buy a small house. We saved gil based on that initial assumption. We assumed that it would still take us a few months after 2.1 to afford the house, we didn't expect to get one right at launch, let alone the biggest plot available. Plans change, yes. But, to go from 4-5 people with main storyline rewards to 40 million for the crappiest house available is a bit much.

My small, family free company has saved almost every penny. We broke 1 million a few weeks ago. At that rate, it will take us 5 years before we can afford the smallest house at the steepest discount. That is what is meant by locking people out of content. Would you expect to have to play a game for 5 years before you could see some content?

Now, tell me how wanting the price reduced is entitlement? Tell me how waiting 5 years is going to give me a sense of accomplishment.

Ok, so you say housing is a vanity option. Let's make a new hairstyle cost 4 million gil. It's a luxury, a vanity item, if you want it, you have to work for it.

According to you what is the difference between your attitude and what he's suggesting? Why is 100 million to unlock an emote extreme to you but 625 million to buy an empty plot of land not extreme?

I even spelled out my opinion of what should be done in the second line for you. Extremes are a great tool in showing errors in a thought process.

If you hadn't noticed ALL content prior to this is obtainable by anyone, on their own through df or shouting. The only thing you can possibly argue to that is T5. This is the thing you make a stand at? you find grinding gil a fun form of end game content for FC to do together? Make CT extremely hard to enter and complete. This comes down to lack of server space. If it didn't Yoshi would give everyone everything they want just like he did with all content prior to this.

It is obtainable to everyone. Just gonna take longer for some.
