You and I haven't always seen eye to eye but I'll explain as I have before in other threads. I think we can both agree on this explanation. The original poster knows that it isn't a challenge nor is it difficult. The original poster wants it to be a massive grind because they have the time to play 24/7. This means that for once in their lives they can be part of an exclusive club. Why is this a big deal? Simply because if it wasn't a grind and if it was actually difficult or challenging it would be beyond them. In short this person doesn't want it to be part of some "real" challenge but instead part of some easy to fulfill task that just takes up a lot of time.Quote:

I can't tell if he's trolling or just deluded, though I'm leaning towards the former. There's no 'challenge' involved in spending millions of gil, just a level of exclusivity which locks out the majority of players from enjoying the new content. Perhaps this is intentional to normalize economies across servers or lure out gil buyers, but it's not going to be a very popular or wise decision to keep it this way long term.

I wouldn't phrase it like OP but I agree that the prices are just fine. Prices are going down over time. You don't need the house now, you want it now, and when you can finally afford it, it will be available. The small FCs that are like husband/wife or BF/GF and friends that made an FC primarily to get a house should rethink about what game they are playing.....might wanna switch to Sims or something.

I'm fine with the fc housing prices, maybe it's because I'm on Famfrit, but the fc I'm in is happy to get the best "small" area, it's at least something. It encouraged us all to get gathering and pump up our crafts. I actually enjoy gathering and seeing how much money I can make, farming mats you can make about 3m in a week, which isn't bad at all looking at the prices. Before the announcement I was wondering what the point of obtaining gil even was since you farm tomes for most of the bis gear, so this gives a reason to farm more than just tomes, imo.
