This is how new MMOs DONT make it.

Ok, so YOU think that mmo becomes fiasco just to housing systems are not what you had hoped? , Seriously ... ok some I agree the price is a bit much ..
But sometimes, unfortunately, bite the bullet and move on.

It will resolve itself, I believe it, the price is sure to change in time.
Why should the dev team give out things so easy for everyone who complains?

I dont plan on leaving, I was just speaking on the underlying trend in how moderm mmos have it rough in the scrutinizing eyes of the people who flock to the genre. I used fiasco factitiously. my bad.

Personally, I love this patch. We're getting A TON of things I really wanted. (And a barbershop, yay!)

But I also main Monk/Scholar and don't care about housing.

For casuals it was one of the most hyped things .....
in my social linkshells it was the #1 thing people wanted. Like, Couples and small RL friend FCs thought it would be cool. People not as hardcore as the rest of us, who are more akin to role-players in an epic fantasy RPG than people playing a spreadsheet simulator to have best in slot gear and be #1 at everything.

I agree, I play with a small group of RL friends, we are on balmung server and the smallest house plot alone is 20million Gil. :( We are all very upset as all 6 of us alls saved a mil each over a few months thinking we'd have enough for a bigger house, but..nope. The game feels like it doesnt really cater to 'small' groups. But only the MAX SIZED SUPER FC's.

Well, my favourite genre died a long time ago... Now I play those new-age MMOs cause, well, they're fun too. But not my favourite genre:p

yes, most people wont get that much money before their subscriptions ends or wont even bother , housing which i was looking for seems to turn in some useless never to be achieved feature

I know that EQ II has housing but I don't know if the original EQ does, as it's been about 13 years since I last played it.
