you're missing the point, we don't care if you get a new mount its the fact that this was suppose to be one of the unique items us Legacy & 1.0 players got for playing during that time.

If SE is going to give it to everyone, then they might as well have said, "Hey, this is a gift from us saying thanks for playing our game. No one will EVER get a Goobbue mount, just you! So hurry up cause they're not gonna be here forever!!....(...btw after 2.0 we're gonna give people a goobbue but its ok it has flowers, so its all good >_>...)" back in 1.0..

Speaking as a 1.0 player with the existing goobbue mount, I cannot even begin to fathom why people are upset about the laurel goobbue. Ours is still unique; they aren't giving it away to other people. SE promised that the 1.0 specific minstrel goobbue mount would never be given out to new players and as far as I'm concerned they're well within their right to add other types of goob mounts to the game. Hell, I welcome it. It just means I have more variety when choosing which mount I use.

That's a false statement. During Phase 3 of Closed Beta ALL players were given the option to transfer their 1.0 characters to a more desired realm. So Legacy characters can be on normal type servers.

Flowers or carpet, it still is a Goobbue mount which has a special meaning to me (even though I didn't participate in a Goobbue wall myself)

Yep. I stalked the old Lodestone for a minute and found at least 3 posts mentioning that you should hurry getting a Goobbue because it won't be obtainable again. "Again" includes 2.0 for me.

I thought Legacy players wouldn't be able to transfer their 1.0 characters to a new server in... a few months?

No, you're missing the point. The legacy Goobbue mount is unique. It has a carpet on it. If you ride by someone they're going to think "oh, that's the special Goobbue with a carpet on it. Isn't that guy cool, I wish I was around to get one of those."

This Goobbue has a ring of flowers. No one is going to look at it with more than a cursory glance and confuse it with the legacy Goobbue.

If SE came out and released the same exact Goobbue, completely indistinguishable from the legacy Goobbue, people would have a reason to get ticked off. They did not.

Legacy characters are LOCKED into Legacy servers, we have never been able to transfer to new servers.
Trust me I was there too.. We didn't even have our Legacy servers in phase 3

They said in 1.0 that GOOBBUE mounts would only be available to us, last I checked you're getting a Goobbue.

Like I said I could care less if they gave you a reskinned Legacy Chocobo the point is don't lie to us SE and say we get unique stuff when we don't.

Exactly. I don't care if it has a flower and no carpet, it's still a Goobbue mount.
