i just LOL everytime i see the whole "fates made you suck" topic. you always forget the REAL reason people suck. a lot of people are idiots and dont try. Fates are perfectly fine the way they are. they in no way affect how a player learns their class, and they dont force crafters to only make crafter gear. ive made hundreds of DOW/M gear and sold it with little problems given time. oh, and if you spend a little time to see what doesnt have any HQ items, make those instead of making all of the obvious stuff that everyone else is making. you make a lot more money that way.

No, that is wrong. I leveled up my WHM just doing FATEs. All I used was Virus, Thunder, Aero I & II, some Stone 2. And sure, Cure when needed. FATEs might be all right with BLMs, so one can exercise on how to maximize the DPS. But with some other classes you learn nothing.
