Usually I find it more often the other way around, Warriors who either go on about how "badass" they are for being a warrior or with a permanent victim complex.

You get idiots in all classes. I've met a few warriors who think more HP = better tank but most have been happy to OT when less geared and vice versa.
Guess I'll consider myself lucky. I've only recently hit 50 and started doing whatever 8 man content I felt comfortable with, and depending on the fight, party make up or whatever, I usually have a small conversation with the other tank about which approach we think best. I have no qualms going OT with a war present. I see nothing wrong with them tbh. I have complete faith in my ability, but my ego isn't so big that I just openly assume I have to MT.
I can see things changing as I start to get more and more gear, but I see no reason to step in as MT unless the other guy had never done the fight before and even then I'll work with them.
Hahaha, I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, and it is a bit ridiculous sometimes, yeah. But you sort of get used to it. To be honest, gearing them into the ground just means that I won't be totally useless as a DD in comparison to the Paladin who wants to MT, no?
It's funny that people still use Duty Finder other than for complete jokes (DF Titan anyone?)
Well on ifrit fights majority of times war is the MT and pld has stun duty, on garuda i allways get the OT duty suposedly to wars higher dps so to me that seems pretty legit reason for pld to MT it.
