Reasoning Behind Loot Tables

It would be nice for RNG to filter the drops so that it only drops weapons of jobs/classes that are in the current party. I'm tired of seeing drops that no one in our party can use for their main.

You know, people like you said that same thing about drops in that turn on Coil. Look how that turned out, and if no one said anything about it, it probably would have gone unfixed.

I don't buy the whole "It's random" thing.

Everyone I know has seen the grimoire drop from Ifrit way more than anything else.
