So positioning a boss in order to make the lives of the rest of the party, especially the healer, a little bit easier makes tanks stupid? Ok there, bud.

Lifes? Is this boss so terrible? I dont think so. As I sad- I kill this boss with co-clans without moving and we are not a SUPER speed runners. 20 minutes for us is fine, so, I can think, that all other tanks and healers are just... bad players
All I see here is bad monk crying about not being able to attack for the first 5 seconds of a fight, and he's losing SO MUCH precious dps because of those 5 seconds.
Start of fight: takes 3 seconds to position. Lost dps is negligible.
Mid fight: a competent tank will keep the boss there and avoid the poison. When the boss moves, it's because the ranged players stand too far away, so the boss has to move in range for his aoe attack.
So complain to the ranged players, not to the tank.
And 20 minutes is the super low end of what can be called a speed run. You gain bragging rights after all your runs are 10~12 minutes.
This is done for speed and efficiency, simple. You not getting hit means the WHM can keep nuking in cleric stance and not have to cure or leech you. The fastest speed runs all involve a strat that involves everyone avoiding AoE. Is it a huge difference? No, but if you're aiming for sub 10 minute runs, its a good idea.
Ah sorry, ignore part about time. Misread your post there.
On mobile now so no edit function. :(
This must be some kind of weird troll? Can't see why anyone would make a thread about the first boss in Wanderer's otherwise.
You only tank him at the line if it's a speed run. If it's just a normal run it takes all of 3 seconds to position him in the corner. Chill.
