I went a bit foolish on Culi. I think I made all HQ ingredients for the toast, including the walnut bread and I made 90 of them so the prework to make the LaNoscean toast was more than the making it. Ended up only using 30 or so. I did that with all my 50's though. Ltw I had 36 HQ Cesti when I hit 45 in addition to 60 HQ Raptor leather. It was a matter of running up and down for new leve quests.

As for OP. All mats for Gsm are mined really. I get it all myself and in addition I throw NQ away as I mine so I do take longer than most. It might seem like a bad decision but when you are banging out HQ one right after the other and you don't need to play the says 90% is really 40% Hasty Hand game, you thank yourself.

relic tool is not calculated. No one really do them in the order of their quest, and pudding flesh is not hard once you know where to look. Not to mention once you get access to milita off-hand, you can rush through most craft quest easily.

This is based on a rough cost of leveling/difficulty of process/ number of cross class mats that must be needed
alchemy by far easy is even with pudding flesh class quest and usually show up on AH now.

And weaver... so much farming it's not funny, no way it will be anything but the hardest/unprofitble leveling process. Even linen stage, you are still farming in huge amounts due to yarn to cloth to clothes.

Armorer is not hard, but since it is a 3-step, it's up there with bsm, just because you need tons and tons of iron but iron and steel is npc achievable and very cheap, and completely within class.

Cooking, you completely messed up. You can NPC from drybone for a triple, and then corn meal, to fairy apple.

And you kinda messed up on leather as well. There is a NPC brought triple very early to boast your levels and goat choker to very cheap pestie even if your are hurting for leves. you could even choose to complete spam that NPC brought triple till 50 with how fast you can spam it. Finally leather is very suspisious in that you get a 3 level below on your triple (choker is 27, on a 30 leve, etc), making HQ very early and easy.

Every recipe for triple turn-ins is 6 materials, at least half of them will have 2 to 3 of those materials being processed, meaning they come from another 1 or 2 other materials themselves.

25:Fever Pitch - Chamomile Tea - Buy water and honey from the vendor, buy or gather chamomile.
30:True Grits - Cornmeal – Buy or gather millicorn.
40: Made by Apple - Apple juice - buy or gather mirror apples.
---For all three, the final product is the only item you make, and none of the ingredients are terribly expensive or rare.

The reason I consider CRP NOTsuper easy, is because CUL and ALC are so rediculously easy. If there was a quest to turn in lumber at 30 or 35, it would be just as easy, but the 30 leves require 4 or 5 steps (steel spears or halbeards), and the 40 leves require 4 or 7 steps (mahogony spinning wheel or myth lance) to make the final product. The 35 leve is only 2 steps, but HQ wyvern obsidium is expensive and it's hard to HQ Walnut Machualti without it. 45 is easy again with Mahogony lumber.

Rather than starting a new thread, I figured I'd continue this one. I just dinged 50 on Goldsmith this weekend. I'm at a crossroads again of which DoH I should go for now. Here's what I have so far:

Should I delve into Blacksmith finally and get Ingenuity I?

Should I start maxing out Alchemist because it's so easy (from what I've heard of on this thread anyway) and to get Comfort Zone?

Or should I continue with a different craft I already have going?

I have 60 Leve allowances so Leves aren't an issue at all.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Since you have GSM and CRP - you can easily make the tools for wvr. I liked BSM since it gives the tools for just about everything else. I'm also doing Min and Btn - so that's 4 more tools I wanted from BSM. Ltw is nice for DoL gear. I guess I'm justifying why I'm leveling them all :/ Maybe I'm giving up Arm.

IMO, get 15 to all. and then maybe go weaver. I've found weaver's Careful Synth II to be EXTREMELY helpful. Not only for making end game items but also for leveling.

I've found the fastest way is usually to find the turn in that is easiest produced, which frequently means something that requires few mats, preferably easily acquired mats. Right now I'm leveling CRP which has a triple turn in that you can do in Gridania with the turn in also in Gridania, and all you have to do is turn in 5 Walnut Lumbers. And with BTN already leveled to 41, I can farm a stack of Walnut Logs in no time and churn out Walnut Lumber like nothing. I'm burning from 25-30 in record time just doing this one Leve.

Also, if you have BTN leveled you can easily farm Cotton and Flax, which make leveling WVR very easy. So far the only thing that slows me down on WVR is when I need to farm Diremite Webs.

Armorer is easier than Goldsmith - you can just buy the ingots you need for leves and turn them in, HQ, at a profit. Every time.

GSM is great, though, Mythril Earrings all the way to 50, forget the triple-turn in leves once you get past the malachite bracelet one.

My recommendation:

Get Alchemist up. You are WHM/CNJ, so you want it 50 for your relic precursor item anyway, and you're getting close now.

After that, get Weaver up. Make HQ crafter gear for yourself first before burning mats on leves.

Both of those also give you an excuse to get Botanist up, especially considering that your relic precursor item can be completely made with harvestable items. Having your own supply of Flax also makes things FAR less painful.

To get Tricks of the trade (lv15 ALC), I just bought 99 phials of Ether and spammed leves.
Weaver is the most slow and difficult craft to level up, that's what lots of people I know say, and what do I need? Weaver -.-
I think Weaver is long and difficult because it requires mob drops, and not gathering items (Linen is the only exception).
Then, you need leathers and skins, so LTW must play his role, and then you need feathers and reagents from gathering...
A BSM just need his raw piece of metal to smash the hell out of that, to get badass weapons (yes, there are some more complex recipes but not as many as WVR have).

Flax (Hempen stuff) and Cotton (Cotton stuff) would like a word with you ... as those are gathered (though, admittedly, it might just be simpler to buy them)
