Gil buyers and you?

There is a reason I didn't boot him out of the party, it was because like someone stated, I couldn't prove anything. Just wondering how other people approached this. Very suspicious yes, could he have had a very generous friend? Yeah. Odds he had such friend probably low, but again Im just making assumptions based on nothing. When it comes to admitted gil sellers they are out the door of the FC faster then they can say RMT. And I report them on top of it. We are working to hard in the FC to have those kind of people run with us, not having my members get banned because they run with gil buyers.

I dont think they are selling full 50's yet.

I try not to jump to conclusions, but I think Occam's Razor applies here. Yes there is a very small chance he had another way of getting that much gil, but come on it's very very very likely he bought it.

If you buy gil: Your are the bane of existence on Eorzea, leave and don't come back.

If you bot, and it's not your bot you are bad too. If you bot and you wrote it youself and it doesn't have a negative impact on the game, e.g. it's crafting ingredients you farmed while you watch netflix, or fishing while you watch netflix, etc I'm cool with that. But if you are using a bot you pay for, etc then.... that's no bueno.

As long as you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that the person is a gilbuyer, then I would say yes. The only problem I see is that it could be used to discriminate players who are innocent. Sounds like MWO's "dezgra list" with potentially the same problems.

All plausible reasons.

If you have valid reason for doubt; Make a GM report.
While there will be no immediate action the character will be flagged for investigation.

or he bought the account from someone on a website... It's not always gil buyers.. We had a guy all level 50's in our free company. Had to boot him because he had no idea how to play any class at all. He then admitted he bought the accocunt, which is what prompted my co leader to give him the 'ol boot. There are other ways to get high level gear that doesn't have anything to do with buying gil, but still involves RMT. Google powerleveling. Some sites offer Relic with all HQ gear for $79.99. To a spoiled rich kid, that's a good decision for them I guess even though you risk your account being stolen.

Amazing at how close minded you are. There is plenty of ways to make gil besides crafts. The past three days alone I've profited 100k just by buying items people are too impatient to sell so they sell for 10k+ lower than the going rate and relisting them. Yes the behavior is suspicious but jumping to conclusions like this does no one any good.

Plausible..maybe, but not probable. This isn't the legal system. We as players must make judgements. I have one quad melded piece of gyphonskin Two tier IV and two Tier III. The cost was well over a mil. To have all of them and perfect melded is unlikely as is. Coming from a new 50 with no crafts (unless alt) is even more unlikely. I think I would be a bit judgmental in this case, because common sense dictates it.
