And yeah, agreed about the rest. Crafting 2 star recipes isn't something you can really do with just 1 class to 50. I mean technically, if you were ridiculously lucky and got some excellents, maybe... but you get my point.

If you want to GUARANTEE a 100% HQ, you'll need more juice. And trust me, you DO want to guarantee a 100% because 1125 tomestones take forever to farm. (2250 for 2 pieces).

Currently funding a friend to become a master crafter. Have talked this over with him and a few other people who hq two star items and it's insanely intensive to get your character to that point. If you're going to farm 2250 tombstones for your end game gear and don't care about hq then just get DL. It will have better stats as the difference between HQ and NQ is significant.

Since you insist on being so stubborn and wanna take the risk...

Inner Quiet, Stead Hands, Hasty Touch(Tricks of Trade for every good proc), Master's mend II at 20/80, Hasty Touch Spam(obviously use Steady Hand again when you don't have it up), get it to 30/80. Rumination, Ingenuity, 2x Standard Synth, Careful synth. You might be able to do Standard Synth + Careful Synthx2 but I'm not too sure(I know you can do it with Careful Synth IIx2). Or, if you get a lot of ToT proc's and have a ton of cp left over before you use rumination (at 40/80), use Great Strides>Advanced Touch for a big chunk of quality.)

I highly do not recommend doing this without Stead Hands II. Byregot makes it so much easier but since you don't wanna get stuff to 50...(hell I got my Carp to 50 in 4 days...I used up all my leves and had to wait). The extra 10% is huge. What do you mean you don't wanna 100% chance HQ 2-star every time? You are out of your mind. If it's not 100%, I always feel a bit nervous for that random chance it becomes NQ. If you wanna craft the hardest items to craft in this game put time and effort in it. Imagine how much time you're gonna waste by farming for the mats again...could've just gotten CUL to 37.

You haven't even put any materia in your gear yet (forbidden melds can be a nightmare)...worry about that first. You say with all HQ materials...I don't know how you're gonna HQ a 40 dura Hard Hippogryph Leather without Byregot. Possible? Yes. Likely? No.

People have been giving you great advice yet you just ignore them. Your stubborness is gonna cost you a crapton of money and you'll regret not listening.

exaclty like what Kupo said.. you wanna be stubborn? Gonna be fkin hilarious when you get extremely lucky and get 9x% chance to HQ only to get a big slap in the face and have it NQ in the end

Yes I'm stubborn because I'm perfectly fine with NQ I just wanted to increase my chances for HQ with what I have. I only wanted the chest piece not the entire set. Appearance > stats for me.
In the end I HQ'd it with 76% quality.

Alright once again I am not looking for a 100% chance to crit 2 star every single time. I am looking for a rotation using HQ materials that will get the most out of what I have. No I will not level every craft to 50. This is what I have and what I plan on attempting it with, I understand its not optimal but that's not what this thread is about.
Currently I have 15 Every Craft 50 Leatherworker, from start to finish what is the optimal rotation to get the most out of what I HAVE not what I can get?

If you're going to buy HQ materials, you might as well just have someone craft the thing for you. You are not going to reliably HQ the materials with your setup.

There are maybe like 3 people who can even craft HQ gryphonskin on my server. Thanks for your valuable input though ;)

And there's probably 40 that can reliably HQ the gear. You said you wanted to do it with HQ materials and limited skills. It's easier and cheaper just to have one of them HQ it for you.

You can refuse to listen to everyone as much as you want. In the end, you will still never HQ @100% with that limited skill set.

Use your leatherworking skills to make money and buy HQ gear, that's your only option unless you ever feel like finishing the work that it takes to prep for this gear.

Feel free to burn 9/18 tome items and prove us wrong.

What you're asking is the equivalent of asking how to finish HQ titan in lv.45 gear, you can't. You have to put in hard work to do impressive things, it's funny how you refuse to understand that.
