How many people really want to play healer/tank, get told you suck, your job is easy (see this topic ^) and if you don't do everything perfect you deserve any number of insults. Now bad dps (which these guys almost always are) are free to get away with it.

I've honestly never really had a problem with people bashing my tanking skills in this game besides an occasional "wtf". Let somebody call me out though, i'll be quick to tell them how many aoes they failed to dodge

Only the second time I have had it happen to me but if someone who has been tanking for years in various games gets it you can imagine what people are doing to newbies. I got into a DF with a newbie today and he got treated like trash... level 25... tanks are not even needed at that point and they freaked out on him.

For me its been a minimum 50-70 minute wait for each castrum run.

Unfortunately that's the way it is for DPS. When I'm a SCH I wait no more than 5 or 10 minutes.

In WoW for every 1 tank n 1 heals, we save 3 dps from the queing hell. In FFXIVARR, we can only save two of them...... yeah so poor dpses.

That is painful. However i am on the same server as you... feel free to add me for some insta queues. That goes for anybody on Hyperion looking for some quick runs

The reason most people don't play tanks or healers is they don't want to accept the responsibility that comes with them. Simple as that.

Last night we formed full FC party for Garuda and we got there instantly.

If you don't want to wait 80 minutes as you say ( I never had this issue ), invite a friend healer to your pt and it will be a little faster :-)

And the reason many people decide to play tanks/healers is that they want shorter queues. Thus, there's an overabundance of really abysmal tanks and healers who understand nothing about their roles and don't ever want to learn.

It's a double-edged sword. DPS queues suck but I'll take it any day over running with a tank or a healer who has no interest in what they do beyond the benefit of a quick queue.

And I would gladly play my paladin, but the time and effort to get 1 set of DL alone is enough not to make me get another full set for tanking.
