Sadly SE abandoned monk since 3.0.
While the damage is still good the utility is neglectable and you might aswell take a SAM instead. It's not helping that both wear the same gear as you'll only want one of them in your group.
So much for the Monk expansion... -

I'm so upset and frustrated. I have mained monk since FFXIV started, even from 1.0...I feel so let down. I don't want to give up on monk but I feel they definitely left this class behind. Other classes seems to have new, cool shiny skills and monks just got mehhh...-_-

We were meant to be the no-utility, selfish, top DPS until they decided to give that to Samurai because reasons. Now they have no idea what to do with us, so just stuck us in the bin.Quote:
