I agree that lower population servers should be able to receive help from players from other Worlds in order to ensure that their concerted works succeed. However, I feel this measure is completely unnecessary on Worlds with higher populations considering the numerous issues it has caused thus far. Therefore going forward I would personally hope that there would be some way to mark certain worlds as "In Need of Assistance" for the Ishgardian Restoration as well as a way to mark others as "No Assistance Necessary" (or at least something similar). Maybe it could depend on whether or not a world is classified as "Congested", "Standard", or "Preferred"?

Regardless, something does need to be done. I'm grateful for Yoshia-san's transparency and reassurances about the direction of the Ishgardian Restoration moving forward, but this is an important issue that needs addressing soon! It is causing many players to completely miss out on the server-wide camaraderie that this event helps evoke. I'm sure the development staff are well aware of all of the issues. I just hope we get a fix before Patch 5.2, even if it's only a band-aid fix.

as someone who comes from a low-pop server, we don't want world visit either! do not let world visit happen in OUR ISHGARD RESTORATION.

last night, i finally got home from work, and i was unable to actually get into the instance at all for over 2 hours.

Missed phase 2 completion on my own world because of this congestion nonsense. Waiting on those fail safes... I think the situation is pretty dire.

Players from the FATE server should have priority to enter before the FATE start, then it opens for world visit during the FATE.

A stormblood launch, even when there was an AFK kick system, people were exploiting ways around it to stay online so that they wouldn't have to go through the queue...

This led to the server's hitting their maximum capacity of people online, and people in the queue not being able to actually get into the game.
As the server couldn't let someone in until someone else logged out.

It was so bad that there was one day where I woke up logged in put myself in a queue, then I left with my family to go sort through stuff at our Grandpa's house, and after that we went to a fancy Japanese steakhouse, and by the time I got home 5 hours later I'd been online for 15 minutes.



The devs eventually force restarted every server a bit before prime time to ensure all the selfish exploiters were cleared out and the problem stopped.

The queues still had huge numbers of people in them, but they progressed in minutes instead of hours.

It will be interesting if you can release a data where you can see how much <<wanderer>> help moving the progression bar on a low pop server, assumig you have that data of course, since many people are doubtful

I don't mind wanderers coming to my high-pop world as long as I can go to theirs.
Look at it this way -- In my world, the hand-in bar progresses really fast it is impossible to see every stage of the restoration even with my flexible schedule. Without world visit, I would be missing a lot on this content and I like to be participating in all the stages, witnessing all the developments.
Maybe just implement a weekly limit to scrips? People who only target scrips would go crazy on Tuesday night, just like hunts but it'll die down in a day or so.

Here's my thoughts.

This IS a good system as clearly this is gonna be housing related and you're going to want the whole DC on the same page at roughly the same pace. Some servers are small fries when it comes to crafting or the few crafters there wouldn't want to put in the effort when they could just do other stuff if they have it all leveled so yeah, let everyone on the DC help all the servers. But it could use some love ....

1- Reduce the amount of scripts you get form the fate. Right now you can have people who afk for an hour or half an hour on a different server just for the fate because unless you have a level capped craft job and gather job it's just the fastest way to get scripts. Why do run around to gather mats or buy mats just to craft turn in and get a tiiiiny amount of scripts (or decent amount if you do the level 80s I guess) when the fate gives you 500 for doing next to nothing outside of being there at the right time? Make them a max of 75 or 100. A decent chunk but not worth waiting an hour for.

2- In PVP if you're AFK for like a min it get's ready to boot you. Have something like that but not as harsh. Not sure if they can treat this like eureka where the game just pops you into a new instance and populates that when an old one is full but that would be nice..

3- Require people meaningfully contribute to the cause on a server before they can get in on a fate if they're not from that server. This was a tricky one, you want to reward people for helping from other servers but you also want to reward people for the work they put in ... so this would make it so that if someone from a different server wants to take a spot for the fate they need to have had some meaningful amount of turn ins or else they can be booted in favor of someone who has.

Not even gonna bother hoping for the fate. I'll just grind a few levels when I get bored and worry about the rewards when I get around to it. Filthy casual mode, go!

Plus, I already got the main reward I wanted anyway.

Thank you Yoshi-P for addressing these concerns. It's always amazing to give feedback and actually get some form of communication in return. Thank you as well to everyone on the FFXIV team for all your time and work you give us. It's truly amazing to see content release that makes everyone play together for an objective, and pack an area so tightly we have this issue, I can't wait to see how it works when it's all fleshed out and done. I recently picked up crafting and gathering seeing this content coming and I'm excited to try it out as soon as I'm able to. Thank you guys again very much for the game and keep it up! We believe in you guys!
