But you found the perfect solution to your problem. Don't like the players you're matched with the DF ? Play with a static. That's exactly what you should do and what people have been doing for over a decade.

And I have played every single role in both. Outside the first two weeks, they were usually fine, relatively speaking. Now has it ever dawned on you people struggle with Shinryu so much because nothing preceding him prepared players for the sudden spike in difficulty? Per my example, one you blatantly ignored, had Seymour Flux been the first encounter, people likely would have complained at how hard the game became out of nowhere. Hence why he was built up over three encounters.

Putting all this aside, I needs not cite outside examples when FFXIV has them itself. Aurum Vale, The Aery, The Vault, Pharos Sirius and Keeper of the Lake are all good dungeons that remained easy enough yet weren't complete facerolls. I'll go you one better. When did you first learn of Doom? Probably in Temple of Quan. That mechanic repeats in Exdeath. Welcome to how players learn before challenging the harder content. Time again people have explained what difficulty scaling actually means yet here you are again, arguing the same points myself, Sebazy, ThirdChild and others all refuted previously. Are you so narrow-minded you can't possibly see a middle ground between your dichotomy?

Actually, they're making quite a lot of sense. Far more than trying to defend the "people will play how they want" bit. Sure, they can, and maybe some will, but when they hit that wall and can't go further because "I do what I want", should we all get a dumbed down game for it?

Okay then, so we don't need Duty Finder, and anyone not in a static or FC is just ass out. Too bad for them, right? And what will you say when those people start complaining about being gated from content again? What will you say to people unjustly kicked from FCs or whose statics disband, or are forced to leave because of personal circumstances? What will you say to all the SAMs and jobs not favored by Our Most Radiant Brother, The Meta? What will you say to the guy who works almost double full time hours but is able to catch the tail end of that prime time with queues to at least get a few roulettes done?

It's time to stop handwaving the problem as if to say "If you don't want to be with bad players, go find your own good ones!" If you don't want to feel like good players are looking down on others, stop enabling bad players to be bad. That goes for you and SE. Raise the bar, raise your expectations and be ready to meet them both head on. Let the strong excel and the weak falter.

I don't have any issues with the average level of the players in the DF for most content, due to the very low skill level required to complete most of the DF content anyway. I mean I saw the OP stating he actually saw the last boss from fractal pull his enrage off, something I've never personally see. Maybe some people ranting here are not as good as they think they are.

I've played with Kaiva (the OP) and you can go look up their parses if you would like to prove yourself wrong really quick. For that matter look up the numbers of everyone you're trying to imply doesn't play at an acceptable level, you're going to see a fair bit of purple and orange though.

I've seen my fair share of failures all over this game. Simply by the game's design, no one player can do it all, at least outside of PotD (and even that can be a massive challenge solo).

There's nothing more frustrating than doing it all right, and someone's action (or inaction) makes it all null and void. And while that might seem like an extreme, I've seen that happen in many ways, many times.

Then how do you explain people ranting about wiping in hell's lid or hitting that fractal's continuum boss enrage ? Something I've personally never seen even though I run these dungeons as a tank.

See, I would have less a problem with it if the devs didn't constantly prattle on about wanting to shrink the skill gap between players. That was their entire mantra going into Stormblood. Their solution? Silly gauges that more than half the jobs have very little use of, though they are pretty. Yoshida on numerous occasions claimed he didn't want to lower the ceiling but is all they did. Everything became easier, thus we're back to what incentives are there to improve?

I cap tomes on 8 endgame toons per week, 6 on Siren, 1 on gilga, 1 on balmung, and RARELY have problems. If you spend time in threads like this you'll find the same people complaining all the time. Nothing new here.
