But you're right, that hour-glass is suspicious. The difference in the aetherial glow, color, and sharpness made me think maybe Tupsimati was holding the primal still while the not-yet-full-power Omega built its walls. But then again ... hourglass. Unless that's more Nero retrofitting, lol.

That is my understanding. Just as Ultima was made to faceroll the regular primals, Omega was created to do the same with Bahamut. I really don't wan't another "everyone is missing" ending but we might be heading there. At least we know two who will make it out. Alisae and Yugiri (yaaay, she's back with a new voice actress) are hinted to join up, but we don't see them during the battle. Maybe they miss the final battle and go with the WoL to Ala Mhigo. Speaking of missing: Where is the b*tch in the red dress? She is supposed to show up in 3.5.

It does seem likely that the Primal is indeed Rhalgr. The way I understand it, the summoning is done with the aether of dead soldiers instead of crystals. Or maybe empowered like with extreme primals and the story Titan from last patch. NO idea how Omega factors in. Gonna hazard a guess and say that at least three different enemy plans pile up on top of each other with Elidibus being behind them all.

The b*tch in the red dress, not to be confused with Ada Wong, will appear in Part 2, I think, but not positive. If I had to guess, Yda will end up sealed inside Omega with Rhalgr(?), and her identical twin sister played by the same actor will join us for 4.0 in her place. When you've already committed to recycling the most tired death tropes in the history of recorded language, might as well just make a checklist!

At any rate, I'm glad Nero has finally talked the Alliance into letting him retrofit an Allagan relic, but in this case I think Syrcus Tower would have been a much, much safer option. Hope he at least gets alt dialogue, unlike a certain other engineer.

I think only Cilia will be interested in knowing that FFXIV's Scathach is written with different katakana than a certain shishou. I was right about the spandex, though.

Well if she is Yda's sister she might end up being called Ada.
As for Nero, his lines are different in the german trailer. Can't comment on French as I don't speak it. German Nero tells the Alliance to quickly get Omega out of the ground before the Garleans will. Also instead of: "This has to end" Alphinaud talks about unpleasant surprises.

As suggested she's likely set for part 2 of 3.5...

But even if she does show up in part 1, it's either in an obvious way that makes her identity incredibly obvious or in one of those extra foreshadowing type scenes...

Either possibility is one I can see them wanting to keep secret and thus out of the trailer.

I'm not terribly happy that Nero is apparently doing the whole 'defector' thing. I'll reserve my judgement, though, and hope that he's working for the greater good of Garlemald and simply doesn't support Zenos. We're still in dire need of some moderate Garleans who work alongside the Warrior of Light but make it clear they're not going to raise a hand against their own people. Then again I've never particularly liked Nero much - he always had a slimy, slippery vibe to me. With that said...I still think there's a decent chance that everybody involved in this conflict is going to get in over their heads, stuff will escalate to a huge degree and we'll end up siding with Garleans who remain loyal to their homeland and people but want an end to conflict. Hopefully a leaf - or multiple leaves - are taken out of FFXII's book for that sort of thing.

Though it seems as though the theory that Baelsar's Wall was already under assault by the time the Warrior of Light arrives ended up being true. The question is, then, is the Alliance itself responsible for that or is it merely striking opportunistically after the Ala Mhigan Resistance - led by The Griffon - reared its ugly head? I'm tentatively going with the latter - because it seems like The Griffon is going to be doing something very dangerous that makes him an even bigger enemy than he already is. Assuming it is him shouting near the end it seems like he is pulling an 'Ilberd'.

Zurvan looks interesting - I like what I heard of his theme. It sound noble and just, much like he is supposedly meant to represent. It's a neat contrast to his appearance too. No sign of Regula, but I imagine we'll be seeing him before and/or after Zurvan is dealt with.

Dun Scaith intrigues me. Very alluring design - I can't help but wonder if Diabolos will be fought separately, though, in a special normal & hard mode trial later on. It was implied, after all, that this wouldn't necessarily be the end of the Shadow of Mhach storyline. He's also something of a fan favourite so having him go out more explosively in the future would be pretty good.

In the short term I feel pretty confident that Zenos is going to be full villain. They have already out right said he is the main antagonist. The smirk in this trailer only reinforces the view. I think the whole thing is a trap but the question is who is behind the trap. Is it the garleans or are they and the Grand Companies being played off each other.

My current guess is that the Griffin has the idea to use the conflict to summon a primal. However this is a trick in its own right cause we will find out that to become fully active Omega needs a primal for fuel. However is really at the wheel of Omega the one playing out events setting up things to fully activate Omega. That is my guess. I also suspect that Nero is working for whoever that is.

A lot of people say Nero is regressing here but to be honest, while at the end he gave up on the void energy source, I never felt he truly gave up his original ways. He still had the same basic desires. Watch those cutscenes and even in the final chapter he is pretty open about having a personal interest driving how he acts rather than some noble intent.

I'm not saying he is outright bad per say. I think he is a bit more complex than that. We might end up working with him again in the end. However I don't think he has truly turned over a new leaf as much as look elsewhere to fore fill his ambition.
