Some people are still asking about raid openers and how many attacks fit into trick attack etc. so I made a twitch clip that demonstrates how things fit on a fight where you can tackle in early.

Yes, the 260 coat is pretty bad and not worth a twine if you get through A11S, BUT...I bought it anyway.

Without it I wouldn't be able to wear certain other pieces and still hit the boss in the face, so while on it's own it has a lower weight, along with dropping accuracy elsewhere it altogether comes in higher, which is what you want when calculating BiS. Another few weeks and hopefully I'll have my Alexandrian, but until then this is how I stay at accuracy cap for the front, which is important in some cases where you just have to hit a face.

So, indulge me for a second, because I gotta ask. Are the current patch's stat weights basically the same as usual? (IE: Achieve hit cap, then WD > Str > Crit > Det> SkS roughly?) That's the route I usually follow, but every big gear update leaves me uncertain, so I wanted to ask. Hoping Sunny weighs in in particular, as I trust their opinion a lot.

Yes. When gearing up, just stack as much crit as possible while meeting accuracy caps. Don't even worry about the other stats unless you're trying to reduce skill speed or something. And mapping out and going for a BiS is pointless unless you see yourself clearing the whole raid tier so just. So just stack crit

That's funny, I was just going to ask a related question about stats when MonkDace mentioned it. I have a few:
1) How much SkS is considered to much? (Currently have 797)
2) Is my Det to low? (Currently have 448)

I haven't added materia to all my new gear, just yet, so that can play a factor. My Str, Crit, and ACC looks to be good.

There's no downside to the DPS with those stats, det and SS overall is valued close to eachother, the only issue is TP, especially around your level when you have to start using fracture to avoid clipping demo too early. Det won't affect the outcome too much so having it low doesn't have any negative effect. Atm if you're raiding just pickup whatever drops that has the highest main stats as long as you don't go too far ahead with the acc. If you're not raiding just look at what shire gear is in the BiS and buy those first while then buying the rest afterwards.

Thank you for the feedback, and it all makes sense. And yeah, I had a mix between the better Shire gear and some of the Alex: Creator gear.

On another topic you mentioned, I know I don't take advantage of fracture.
In what instances should fracture be applied to my rotations? The biggest things that kept me from using it was the
impression of if its a loss/gain in DPS, also TP issues. I'm comfortable working with ToD and Demolish, however.

Fracture is always a DPS increase if used during a TS/DK where you haven't used ToD. But that would be a huge TP loss. So taking advantage of fracture means using it whenever you know you will clip demo too early, that is around 4-6 seconds, which usually appears if you haven't ToD during that demo. This makes its TP/Potency equal to DK/TS and it's practical potency 270 as it gives you one additional demo tick.

Ah I see. I think I understand the flow. Adding fracture before clipping demo is basically giving you something to do, and
maintain DPS, while getting back to "DK and Tws"
Also, I read some of the fracture notes on page one, as well. I'll mess around with it and see how it works out for me. Thanks!
