You'll be able to quest for it, you'd prolly have to swap races beforehand for it to work right i'd guess.

Thats what I first thought but it also has someone using a controller there to, as well as the gamepad UI which we haven't seen in any of the photos of the media tour (that i'm aware of) so I'm not so sure it is from the media tour at least not someone playing it there, could be from a video that they may be showing. Eh just my speculation :)
Looks kind of familiar...

Ah, that must be why.
Familiar how? By the fact they're playing the same game? :P
Most likely gamepad will be for Phase 2 as roadmap states.
Zezlar is probably right. That is identical to Ul'dah's architecture.
Realize also that just because Ul'dah won't be tested in beta it doesn't mean the producer isn't allowed to test it :D

That's a much better picture than the other one.
Didn't Soken say he was uploading a new track for us to hear today?
Bayohne seems excited to meet Erren Van Duine according to his twitter. I guess we will see something on rpgsite.net or www.novacrystallis.com after media tour ends.
Ah, Reinhart has translated some more just there, but I'm making an arse of putting it in this thread as a nice quote, can someone with the capability copy it over? No doubt it will be officially translated to English, but always nice to have something new.
Can be found in His Subligarinesses Thread here:

Here you go.

Thanks Shougun :)
Man, back in the day I used to buy a gaming magazine a month, and sook all the information out of it. Now I refresh the Lodestone and flick between any possible sources of information nearly non-stop.
I'm just hoping that it gets a positive reception (and more than just a 'it has improved') as I know I'm going to enjoy it, I just hope we can drag lots and lots of new people on board as well.
I bet Yoshi-P and the rest of the team (and perhaps even Wada himself) are sweating bullets at the moment as the people from yesterday begin scribbling their articles of eternal damnation in the writer caves.
Are they heading to Europe next, or has it been a case of getting folk flown in from the EU for the media event? Not sure if anyone would know that, minus those who have been invited / done the inviting or if I've missed something.
So what major gaming sites or media were actually covering this event. I haven't seen anything like on Gamespot, IGN, Gametrailers, 1up or any major gaming news site. If they are covering the event they aren't doing a very good job.
Does the word "embargo" not mean anything to you?
It's been said over and over that they're being asked to WITHOLD information until the tour is over...so that EVERY news outlet releases the same information at the same time to their respective regions.
But I guess the cool thing to do is bitch for the sake of bitching now rite?
I hope a lot of people showed up - looks like they did a fantastic job on everything and I know it took a lot of hard work^^
An embargo period of a few days also stops people rushing stories to the printing press. It should result in some higher quality journalism.
US Media Event was awesome, congrats to the whole team!

Looking forward to EU Media Event now :)
Hope we'll get to know all the EU Community Team as well!
Back on my side of the country.
I'm hard at work getting as much info as I can crammed into these articles (yes there will be more than one). One of the benefits of Gamer Escape (while we do have some general gaming news coverage) is being more focused on titles such as FFXIV. Because we're all players like you, we know the little things to ask and look for as opposed to being more broad or generic. Rest assured that we'll have some details you won't find anywhere else ;) These will be posted towards the end of next week.
"Please look forward to it!"
Gyoo! I will! ^^/
