So I think with this overwhelming evidence we know what job we are getting!
Pig Farmer! We can raise pigs in our FC houses with a new Disciple of Land job! I'm pretty excited... I already got a pig ready.
They already have the models in the game already right?

^Irrefutable evidence.
Guys, its clearly Freelancer. Peter is a freelancer and now u can que as a freelancer in front lines.
FREELANCER CONFIRMED!
Gonna put my final bet on the following scenario, SE releases 2 new jobs to ffxiv, Redmage to be a ranged spellcasting DD, Dancer (Spiderman) to be a whip wielding melee healer (Se is already grooming healer classes to melee range this is ultimately beneficient to this.) "but what about the tank?" I'm getting to that, the hype so far has been a trailer released a monk dueling a dancing woman wielding a ribbon as a whip. As with Heavensward featuring Eistinien and Dragoon, Monk plays host to Stormblood, there will be no third new job, instead there will be a reworking of existing monk both in play and in purpose. Possibly a severance of Monk from the Pugilist class and a split between a damage/spiritual based monk and a defensive/physical based school using differing soul gems to differentiate. Samurai is much beloved and demanded but will be brought into the picture later in the story possibly to bridge expansions. However I believe it may take the form of Ronin (a wandering samurai without a Lord to serve), rather than Samurai seeing as the definition of a Samurai is a warrior in service of a liege lord, and no such nobility exists in game which means Ronin would make more sense from the warrior of light's perspective as a wanderer.
It's Samurai. The recent data mine potentially confirms it lol. I would post it but could get banned.
I like the evidence presented above tying Spider-man and pigs... That person, whomever they were knows what's up!
Sure, people might have that picture of Spider-man in a Samurai costume, but there are THREE pictures above showing spider-man as a pig, so it's 3 to 1 opposed.
The new job has something to do with pigs.... Calling it now!
Again, the devs have trolled before with data mining when Yoshida politely asked people not to do it. He trolled the relic before lol. Nothing is confirmed until Yoshida says so.
My bf data mining as well..it says JobBRM LOL Broom job confirmed? I am looking at it right now on his computer rofl. OMG I got it , that's the canon cleaner job!!!
I'd point out the file he found is linked in ex1, while the rdm and sam is linked in ex2
There is also a NPC that hints at SAM minor 3.5 spoilers
People really like to throw around the relic dataminded icons as a troll, it could of just been a placeholder we don't know.
Why would they troll the SAM fanbase and not the BLU and DNC fanbases? Seems a bit low to troll that fanbase but not the others.
Edit: We'll most likely see DNC in the future don't worry, It's a pretty requested job and would make a great debut. Hell there is STILL a very slight chance you could get it in 4.0 because imo it makes so much sense to add DNC to Stormblood but right now it isn't looking good.
BLU? We'll see...
Just going to add in during a Live Stream prior to release of heavensward they "accidentally" showed and opened a folder named Samurai. So hey, its a possibility.
It was during the NA fanfest at Soken's panel and had nothing to do with Samurai as a job and actually nothing to do with FFXIV either. It was his folder for his work on SE's mobile game Samurai Rising, of which he did all the music for.
The more recent discoveries however absolutely pretty much confirm Samurai is our next Stormblood job.
Haha yea we will see ^^ If it don't make it in 4.0...no biggie! I still think the 3 jobs will be RDM, DNC, SAM~
The only reason I am suspect of that SAM file in the dats is because SE didn't rush to delete the threads/pics..they're just leaving it. Seems really weird based on their past reactions >.> Back in 1.x in Aug 2012 someone found a link to the SMN URL on the FFXIV website..and SE nuked that stuff REAAAAL quick. I got lucky and caught the thread. So was j/w why this time they leavin it alone lol
But then again I remember the artwork leaked with SCH and they left it..lol so who knows
Not sure if I noticed right, but I think the Samurai threads on the official forum have been removed. Could that mean something?
If they did start deleting the threads then yes I think it does :3
It's a red herring it has to be...I hope it is.
My spider-sense tells me: There is something fishy about that datamining...

If you're seeing all this evidence and not even being slightly hesitant about it than you sure you're not just seeing proof where you want to see it? The pro-SAMs have really taken to heart anything that could remotely be tied to SAMs introduction be clear-cut proof of its existence, none of them even slightly questioning it, and sound like a bunch of conspiracy nuts at this point. Like, the other job fans have been pretty outlandish as well, but the SAMs take it to a whole other aggressive level.
You know what they say when something sounds too good to be true... and at this point I'm worried if y'all gonna be losing your damn minds if it isn't SAM and trying to rip apart Yoshi.
It is, but it's one so heavily contested for even in the earliest days. Aesthetically it's one that draws enough people in, and whether DPS or Tank people are sure to play. It's not as though Yoshi hasn't wanted it introduced himself, he very much has, though whether it is now or later is something very much still in the air. But he obviously also knows that if he fucks it up, people WILL become increasingly agitated. Game devs have always struggled with players just as passionate.
I think it's odd that they would put an unannounced job place holder in the game now instead of patch 3.55 when we will already know the jobs. They know people datamine and would find that. I think it's on purpose or someone just lost their job lol. First the post about only 2 jobs and now this.
Exactly why I think that the first idea of not using iconic jobs was good. If you name your jobs Maraudeur or Conjurer, you're not tied to previous incarnations of what WAR and WHM are.
Just look at SMN...people bitch about it all the time even though the job itself is pretty powerful, just because "It's not a real summoner..."
The thing is, Yoshi-P has said in the past that this is FFXIV, not an old FF, and that he's free to do whatever he wants with the jobs.
The thing I have found funny is that one of the gladiator quests was that in one the mnk you were fighting would use the hundred fists attack on you, then start wondering why they haven't given mnk that ability.
The latest bit of evidence is pretty much a final nail in the coffin. It doesn't get much closer to full on confirmation than data files validating it.
The only connection that's any kind of "conspiracy theory" level is the Sam Raimi director connection, but it's also honestly a bit too weird to not be a potential hint. The rest of the evidence is absolutely sound however.
We know straight up that Samurai was in contention for 3.0's Tank, but lost out (at the last minute too) to Dark Knight for it's thematic matching to 3.0's setting and the reluctance to release another eastern themed job so close to ninja. So we already know it was a job that was on the top of their list to add.
Yoshida and team certainly cave to pressure from the players/fans when it comes to adding jobs considering so far every job except Astrologian has been ones widely requested and topping player polls from 1.0 (SMN, NIN, MCH, etc.)
Then the job samurai was mentioned directly by name by Yoshida's self insert during the Rising event in 2015 as potentially a new job they were going to work on, in the very same statement he name dropped Red Mage.
After that, we get an in-game lore confirmation that samurai specifically at least exist by name as a thing. Listed alongside shinobi (ninja) as something from Doma, which considering the vast majority of surviving Domans (or perhaps all of them) are now in Eorzea, it sets the perfect excuse for us to be able to learn said job, since those who would be able to teach it are now in Eorzea.
Finally, we have the datamined files, which is not just some random file with the word "sam" in it, but specifically multiple files for cutscene placeholders for job story quests, alongside other job files named in exactly the same format including rdm.
All these things combined with an odd but still valid connection to the t-shirt tease Yoshida wore, on top of his comments and deflecting when it comes to acknowledging Samurai questions, and actually shooting down other popular theories, it's pretty cut and dry at this point.
You say SAM fans are on a whole other level when it comes to hints about their job coming to the game, but clearly you haven't been paying attention to these threads because people saying "They said the color blue! BLUE MAGE CONFIRMED" is actually straight up the biggest reach. Or even the dancer camp, of which there is virtually zero hard evidence of Dancer even being considered for addition ever in this game. The devs have not once even acknowledged Dancer as a potential job.
I do hope it's not Samurai, even though now evidence is pointing towards it. I have no interest in Samurai, so guess that means the only new job I will have any interest in is Red Mage (since we're probably not getting a new healer either).

This is the real reason behind the T-shirt! >.>
