Wow, Wuk Lamat is really single-handedly ruining the DT story...

I'm honestly not seeing, with how annoying Wuk Lamat is and how Erenville is acting with her, how they're even childhood friends. Yeah they do that type if stuff in anime bit they start out the characters at a younger age not practically adults. I think it would have been better if they just hadn't of created her.

its clear that we are mentoring wuk, the wol had their "giant" explosive climax to an adventure, i assumed this one was going to be smaller stakes to compensate, and likewise also us taking a half step back, i dont mind

i see wuk as a "redo" of the lyse yda arc, yda to lyse was too fast, the personality change came with a costume switch there was no proper build up to yda being more confident and earning her role as leader, it didnt feel like the same ccharacter at all, i see wuks jounry as being a more natural progreison of that.

the acctual critic i have is that, because of this, i see wuk being relagated to npc leader we see never likee the aft formentioned lyse and earlier aymeric. so im havingg a hard time being too invested when i know i wont see her again anyways

What woulda been really cool is if we weren't automatically stuck supporting Wuk. Like what if we just went over for the heck of it and got involved in the rite by accident and then got to support wuk or catboy. I feel like that could work but that would be more effort and require more creativity so that's probably why they didn't

If you step up in someone's defense, you generally get conflated with their opinion, yeah. Case in point: I've never actually stated my opinion on the character or the story, but some assumptions have already been made, haven't they?

At first I wasn't really keen on her. After first arriving on the new world, I warmed up to her a lot. But I'm almost done with the second fork and she's starting to grate on my nerves. She's lost her confidence and fun personality and is constantly putting herself down.

But she's a saint compared to Erenville who's constantly belittling her, treating her like a child, condescending, wouldn't know how to smile if his life depended on it, makes a black rain cloud look like a Sunday picnic.... I really hope he stops acting like an donkey's butt, cuz he's dragging the experience down. I look forward to any dialogue he's not part of, cuz I know when he's there he's gonna crap on everyone's happiness.

Maybe she should act more like an adult then. He warned her about how the Pelupelu use honeyed words to make a sale and to not buy just whatever. What's the first thing she does? Gets almost swindled into buying a blanket she doesn't need. If Erenville wasn't there she would have went through with the needless sale he just warned her about.
