Is there a generally regarded "normal" price for stuff like crafted gear and infusions?
Because 200K for the former and 2.5K for the latter feels like it's leaning into the "not profitable for people who don't bot" territory to me.

Generally if the selling price isn't more than the combined sell to vendor price of the mats and a little extra for labor..then it's not profitable. Otherwise you're just arguing over how MUCH margin there should be.
What % of the cost in margin do YOU think is fair?
Also an omni crafter think of the gathering and crafting new crafters and old ones gotta do.... plus spending the gil to get melded.. ect ect are time and effort goes into these items and I don't wanna spend 4 hours to make less then 200k on something... servers are servers because there separate world visits takes a min to go compare prices... so are realms economy is being sucked dry.
And I don't want to pay outrageous prices for raid food and potions which go for like a mil for a stack of 99 on my server. Get wrecked greedy crafters. Maybe now you'll charge for the actual product instead of thinkin you're an artisan.
Why are you quoting yourself to continue a thought? You can edit your old post if there is more you wanted to add.
Sure you don't want to spend 4 hours to make less than 200k... but if someone else is willing to on another server then maybe it's time to change focus?
Perhaps this will pose an opportunity for crafters and gatherers to coordinate on ether forum or discord to beat the bot/gold sellers at their own game and squeeze them out of the market by sharing ones going rates, what is available and who is a legitimate gatherer/crafter to actually buy from on the market? We can also get the word out between guilds, new players and hopefully SE to help such a project.
But I know we have to be careful, because some peoples names really do look like a cat walked across the keyboard. Not just those bots.

So the OP's complaint is that players on their server now have more options to buy items from?
Not possible. Botters don't care how cheap goods sell for.
The majority don't care because they benefit from them.
SE really doesn't care.
Here is something currently happening: The cheapest infusions are on Gilgamesh. The majority are made through the use of bots. Players looking to make easy Gil are buying them from Gilgamesh and relisting them on their servers for as much as they can. Either players buy those relists on their home world and indirectly fund the bots or they compare servers and buy from the bots directly. So yeah, prices are going down, but if you don't care that they come from bots, why not bot yourself and cut out the middleman?
